I agree, it is a good read. It's a little different from the "Playing off the Rail", "Green Felt Jungle", etc... type of books in the way it reads but it is certainly engaging.

I agree, I like to shake my head and agree in that type of situation. I have found that one of the best plays in bar 8-ball is the "accidental safety", which is pretty much the same type of play that you made. You just have to look frustrated and maybe curse at the table a few times to pull it...
