    Anyone play with superpro tips??

I had one on a break cue for a while for playing in tournaments/leagues that didn't allow phenolic break tips. It was good for that purpose (later replaced with a Samsara tip which is better, though), but really hard for playing tip in my opinion.

    Are these balls OK?.......

Good balls. Here's another option: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Belgian-Aramith-Premium-Pool-Balls-Best-Value-in-Balls-FREE-US-SHIPPING-/221350544207?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item338985434f. Joerackem (no affiliation) has a pretty good reputation around these parts as well.

What is the theory of a Bumperless cue?

I took the bumper out of my main playing cue and fabricated an aluminum screw-in "plug" of sorts. It just felt a little more crisp/"alive", as others have mentioned, without the rubber bumper.

    How Can It Be?

That's cool; I think it's most likely a light cueball as others have stated. I remember reading something (maybe in the 8-ball Bible) about the old valley coin-op cueballs that were slightly heavier than the object balls. They'd allow for the "opposite" of what you see here, where you could...

    Big Ball/Matlock

I bought a cheap copy a few years ago and I have to say that I don't think there's much instructional value. It's basically Dave running a bunch of racks, Archer playing with him a bit (it's mostly Dave though), and Mizerak talking about how great Dave is. From what I remember, Dave doesn't...

    Positive custom cue experiances

I have two custom cues from Paul Sumrall at S&S cues (posts here as godofthunder I believe). He was very responsive, communicative, and professional. Also, his cues play mighty fine if I do say so:thumbup:

The One Thing You Must Do If You Aspire to Become Good

For what it's worth, my intention surely wasn't to unilaterally dismiss the idea that it could be useful/helpful to see the cue ball, object ball, and pocket at the same time. However, when you speak in absolutes (as others have mentioned) there is very little room for debate or discourse...

The One Thing You Must Do If You Aspire to Become Good

The target isn't the pocket in my example , though, it's the contact point on the object ball. Cryden was right on. Your analogy would be more appropriate if we're comparing the ability of the target shooter with that of a pool player to deliver the cueball to the contact point on the object...

The One Thing You Must Do If You Aspire to Become Good

Why do you need to see the pocket at all once you're over the ball? It seems to me that to pocket a ball, you need to a) properly identify contact point on the object ball that will send it to your intended target (i.e. the pocket) and b) ensure through your setup, stroke mechanics...

    S&S BEM Hitter

I just wanted to make a quick bump here. I've had this cue for almost 1 year and still absolutely love it. I have 5 other cues and hardly touch any of them anymore; this cue plays just wonderfully. Kudos again to Paul for making a wonderful cue and being a great builder to work with.
