Review: "The Art of One Pocket" by Steve Booth

I'm not a rabid collector of cue sport books but have, lets say several pieces of printed things whether I need them or not. I mentioned this book in casual conversation and apparently my wife purchased it for me without my knowledge. Now I have 2 One still sealed in the shipping box. Don't...

Another one of those posts that make you cringe but here goes: idea for game variation

How about as simply a challenge between friends trying to learn. Frustrating as He// but a real challenge. Don't see anything wrong with challenges. Might fail but .. so what?

    Machinist level services and repair

Years ago Rob replaced a vial in my Starrett 98-12 and it came out perfect. He even gave me choices of colors, and met me in a parking lot to finalize the deal while I was working in Iowa. Rob, Your Lufkin Machinist Level really threw me. I've dealt with Lufkin on and off since 1976, that's...

    Average player cue recommendations?

I assume there's no place close that has a wide selection of cues. If you're serious/he's serious, plan a road trip over a weekend to a place that has a hundred or 2 hundred cues. It'll be fun and possibly a learning experience. Doing a spreadsheet on how many dings you get from this site...

    3C Quiz for fun

I slowed the shot down to .25 and it looks (clearly looks) like the ball was hit 1st. Guess a slight glitch in the App.

Renaissance wax vs Martin Guitar polish

200proof is for sure Lab stuff. I'd have to guess the containers are small since it readily degrades to 190 or so.

    Cue tip Burnushers

I'm guilty of ripping off a tip. That tool was made of UHMW. Pretty slick. It's deep in Land Fill

    How do you cut cushions?

I'm interested in hearing from the experts on this. Gum Rubber is not easy for sure. Won't expose myself any further. My solution is way too expensive.

    Interesting video, Fats

Fats became Double Smart (he says) when playing a game of banks. Just as he struck the CB, the floor gave way under his feet sending him to the lower level. Before he left the scene, he shouted out "IT'S IN!!" Such fast thinking under duress earned him the Moniker.

    Interesting video, Fats

This I believe is Island Drive's interview. Bill was fairly close to Fats and of course Evelyn.

Re-Tip Yourself or Send Out? Tip Recommendations?

This is very good advice. Hate to say it, cause I'm in the same boat, Bill comes from a time when cue repair guys were few and far between. He's also an ex-pro. Sorry Bill! I like the Longoni tool vs Tweeton for sanding the ferrule. The Longoni tool also prepares the tip for gluing. I use...
