To be honest, this debate has been going on for decades now. I even took a pool here eons ago about pocket size...I'd guess 12 years ago now....it got a massive amount of replies and kind of took on a life of its own. Fast forward to now, and I don't think pocket size matters much at this...

I use a players j/b in dive bars. Plays fine.

My buddy got a killer cue made by Gulyassy, no problems. Same here with Kelly Peterson aka MVP Cues, though Kelly's website says he is not taking orders right now unfortunately. If I ever have another custom built, Kelly will be my pick hands down.

Right on. I wonder if they were old school normal shafts or low deflection? I've never even hit a ball with even a wood low deflection shaft in all these years. Also, a one million dollar onepocket match is pretty high up there 🤑 🤑 🤑

I bought one of these Rhino shafts cuz the price was right to try something new. It's been good so far. However, for playing....wood is good. I guess I'm one of the few fools out there still throwing lumber at spheres.
