While I am sympathetic to Kollegedave's position, I can't summon the will to care about Fargo ratings much one way or another. Fargo tells me I am currently a 645. My feeling about this is neutral. Pool is a hobby, as such I strive to be better and improve and all that jive, but I'm just...
Yup, nobody enjoys watching people stand around staring at balls. Gun-slinging 9 ball would sell. Speed that shit up. Pros know the correct shot in rotation pool within seconds. Shoot the damn ball son!
Ended up playing some onepocket last night. Played ok actually, ran the balls nicely and felt good enough about it. Only $20 per rack. Ended up 2 games after a few hours and I am ill plus worn out, so I stopped. You should have heard all the moaning...you can't quit winner blah blah blah...
I keep my Taom V10 chalk in my deep freezer along with my roasts, vegetables, batteries, carbon fiber playing shafts, car keys, toilet paper etc. Turns out you can put anything in there, it's all about the square footage.
RIP to a legend of the game. He was very cordial to me way back when at the Derby around 2005 or so and I was pleased to have him sign my cue case along with Efren, Earl and many many of the giants of our game. For Danny, I'll shoot his famous onepocket shot this very night, a multi rail bank...
True, and this is why amateur pool makes so much better sense for almost everyone. Being among the ranks of of resource deprived pros (trying to be polite) who are those 90% that are no real threat to win big tournaments is a rough life. Pro pool only makes sense if ones passion overwhelms...
Another good one was Keith vs Parica when Keith wore the black shirt with the sparkles. I own that one on DVD, but no longer have a DVD player to watch it on, dangit.
It used to be in the Derby rules that if a player ran the set out from the break, the opponent had the opportunity to do the same. I don't think this ever occurred. Not sure if this is still the rule or not.
I do agree with those who say that until entire sets are being run out from the...
I fixed this problem. I have an old Players jump/break that I use in bars sometimes. One bar in particular lacks clearance for a full length cue in spots. I just unscrew the rear part of the butt off and shoot away. I did replace the tip to an ultraskin medium though. And yes, plays just...
Ditto this. Kelly is top flight. He built the cue in my avatar pic there . I did a post a review here on AZB at some point, but the short story is he is awesome to deal with & his craftsmanship is superb. Perhaps equally important is that his communication as the build progressed was...
