    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Totally unfair! He needs team mates so that Europe has a chance to win a match here and there.

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Pretty much everyone I've spoken to that uses a CPAP says the energy level during the day is not even comparable to before. That's been my experience as well. Sleep quality has many positive effects, performance in pool being one of them. How many times have you heard of a player destroy...

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Many great performers share this sentiment. "It's not about getting rid of the butterflies in your stomach, it's about getting them to fly in formation." I think that was Trevino, but I have a history of misattributing quotes lol. So I googled it and apparently that line is originally...

Ye, stretching for pool is under rated. Takes out those stroke-killing tight spots that reek havok on ur timing/sequencing.

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Whatever the source or framing we apply to it, physiological arousal, has a physical effect on the body. Stress, anxiety, excitement, exhilaration, will all affect how muscles work and your ability to coordinate their movement (not to mention the mental game mishaps that show up as well)...

International Open 9-Ball 2024, St. Augustine, FL, Nov. 18-22

context. t'was a reply pointing out how he talked down those groups apparently. So, pointing out members of those groups would whoop him fits. Damn. Now I gotta go watch the vid and hear this gem commentary for myself. edit: literally first min: "why don't you restart the stream and...

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Fats gets credit for all the good lines :p But now that you mention it, I did hear it on an old 9ball telecast. Thought it was attributed to Buddy, but he might have been the one saying it and quoting that gem line vacuum Fats. Either way, regardless of who said it, they're right... the...

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

There are many breathing exercises one can do in the chair, not just 'yoga' breathing, as there are several types of those for different effects as well. Just YouTube Breathing for stress/anxiety and a thousand different vids pop up outlining various techniques. Then use whatever suits you...

That was Buddy Hall's advice...for players who thought the pockets were too big.

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

Ye Centennials are beautiful balls. Easily my favorite. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but from the first time I played when I was 10 I just loved the look of them.

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

Clean balls that are all the same size and weight behave predictably , while mismatched sets that are seldom cleaned come with some surprising ball reactions. This is especially true in halls that dont change balls very often so the balls get smaller with time. Obv the cueball shrinks fastest...

Fargo Caps = The dumbing down of pool

I was thinking about this creep too and wonder if the prevelance of reporting iis what's responsible. As more and more leagues full of 400s and below enter data, to reflect the gigantic gap between them and the top, top must go up. A trickle up effect if u will. I don't think the top...

    Shot Line Walk Up

Experienced players can get a lil lazy at times with this process as they know where they need to be and how, but coming straight in line with the shot is simplest and most reliable for getting you where you need to be. Also, head position coming straight down on the shot line is super...

Which way do you play this shot part 2 (tribute)

Better to overcut the 13 and load up with right to go into cluster, just to be safe. Plus, if the numpty playing solids lets us back in, we probly have a tough 13 sitting near middle of the short rail that we can find a 2 rail scratch off of.

What Qualified someone as Qualifiied Instructor???

Your golf instructor experience is common unfortunately, as most just teach their particular type of swing and the onus is put on the student to do their research and choose an instructor that fits them. That said, there are also many knowledgable coaches that understand the ins and out of...

Any ideas on something that's been bugging me?

If this apt analogy does't get the point across that more spin won't transfer more due to sliding rather than gripping, nothing will.

Any ideas on something that's been bugging me?

Thank you. Always nice when the physics backs up what commentators suggest. Certainly not always the case.

Any ideas on something that's been bugging me?

Can always count on u and PJ to fix any misunderstandings I may have on the physics of pool. Edited. Ty. But wouldn't the same speed closer to center axis also put less spin on the cue ball?
