WNT Knight Shot Open, Dubai (12-15June)

Kaci is tough to watch without a shot clock.

WNT Knight Shot Open, Dubai (12-15June)

You know what would make it better? More ridiculous pictures of Jayson Shaw all over the room. Yeah the camera work is poor and they jump all over the day's timeline between racks. Also, if anyone wants to see how well the tables roll, check out Chua's jump-bank on the 8ball in the 7th rack of...

Poll for American Pool Fans. Are you watching Matchroom's WNT World Pool Championship live? If so, how?

I've been busy/ out of town for most of it but when I watch MR events live I use a box that streams all sporting events. Skysports typically carries the events. Doubt I'll ever give DAZN a penny. The box does have some DAZN streams but they are difficult to find.

    2024 World Pool Championship

Stating the camera work is poor is far from hating SMH. I noticed yesterday that they were in such a hurry to show the replay of the break that they started it before the balls stopped rolling.

    Bobby Pickle Report

Vetting people is surely racist somehow.

Do you wear competition pool outfits? Thoughts?

I can understand when teams may get matching jerseys for nationals, etc. Individual amateurs wearing jerseys with their names on them look silly imo. They are quite popular regardless. Now if a company provides you with clothing to wear and pays you for the exposure, I see nothing wrong with...

    Scamming getting out of hand.

I ordered a pressure switch for a compressor and the seller used USPS. I received an email from the bay, telling me it had been delivered. I tracked the package after not finding it at my home. According to USPS, it was picked up by an individual from a post office in a different town and is...

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

He played a pretty big set last year with Patsura. 10ball on the 9 foot. Play was fairly even. Patsura broke much better, and often followed a rack win with a B&R. Henney almost never made a ball on the break, so he could not get any momentum. The break advantage affected the score greatly iirc.

BEST 7 FOOT TABLE FOR HOME USE

So I gather he did not actually want informed opinions on the matter. IMO, buying a low level table like the one your fried chose at new price is a mistake. Most off-label tables for the home can be found <$500 on the used market. Hope he likes it.

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

I met a guy at a big tournament recently who told me Justin is planning to get back in the mix soon. I hope it's true.

    Waste of money pool items

When the young guys used to ask me what advice I had for them to improve, I always told them to quit immediately and sell their pool stuff. It's a fun game but to put the hours into it some of us did has proven to be a waste of thousands of hours that could have been spent on more worthy causes...

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

He still makes cues AFAIK. I watched a guy order one from him maybe 8-9 months ago. He also plays over 600 speed at about 82 yrs old as well, on top of everything he does. Makes me tired just looking at him.

Is Hennessey considered top ( ) gambling?

Local room owner is one of Henney's backers. Pretty sure he was in with the last match against Patsura. I'm sure he has his own $ too though.

    Never forget Mike Lebron

I thought everyone knew of this. I remember watching a recording of that match and thinking, "I can't believe Buddy played that poorly." It was not until after that I learned about the fix. Shameful. A bunch of guys set men's professional pool back decades for a quick payday. IIRC, Earl...

    Oscar barking at Karl Boyes

Did these two ever play? They are both hitting balls now. I'd like to see it go down.

    Rhino carbon fiber

Well sh!t. I have a Komet break cue from them. So far everything has been fine, but I break at about 20MPH. I will start checking on mine under magnification to spot cracks forming. I have some tomahawk I can use for a new ferrule but that can break too, just not as easily it appears. I have a...

Best straightforward (ie non-25 minute youtube video) advice/training on stroke

I used to use a mirror sitting on a stand to watch my alignment from my hand to my shoulder. It's hard to beat the Mighty X for grooving a straight stroke. For mechanics, I'd still go with a mirror or camera behind you and opposite of you down the shot line looking back.

Diamonds clearly bank shorter than most other if not all tables…so, why?

Was this in response to my post?

Diamonds clearly bank shorter than most other if not all tables…so, why?

I bought a new 9' ProAm about a year and a half ago. It banks as true as both GCs I've owned in the past. I make NO adjustment for banks. As far as I am concerned, the issue has been fixed.

    Refining pre shot routine

Good thread. I'd guess we have all fought through this issue at some point. Among the two or three dozen B and A players I've shot with throughout my pool life, there have been perhaps five who have a defined pause at the end of the take back stroke, including myself. That is to say, it is not...
