Great starter cue, thank you AZB!

They're all I recommend for someone looking for an inexpensive cue. I haven't heard a bad review on them yet.

Mosconi trip something didn't feel right

This was my first time watching the Mosconi Cup on a live stream and I really enjoyed the matches. The production is kinda blah and the European crowd was overwhelmingly more enthusiastic than the Americans. What I think is really missing is the American flare. It felt like it was in Europe...

Wanted/For Sale Section to Change in New Year

You may be right. I don't know anything about advertising agreements I was just taking a guess at what the problems could be. In the end my point was that if something is causing them more headaches then it's worth to fight than I can't blame them. Whatever their legal issues may be it's Jerry...

Wanted/For Sale Section to Change in New Year

Agreed 100% I was just saying look at it from both sides. We don't know the reason behind the legal trouble but everyone is assuming so I gave my 2 cents. I could be completely off but in the end AZB has to protect itself and we all should understand that.

Wanted/For Sale Section to Change in New Year

The legal talk as I am taking it is probably concerning people posting items that the people that pay for banners sell, and probably for less. Ozone for example is one of the banners and they sell everything, if they have a no competition clause or something of the nature there would be issues...

Rail Refinishing *AFTER* new cushions and cloth are Installed.

What I would suggest is to install the sights and finish the rails before doing the felt. The problem with putting something in the feather stripping groove is you can probably get it in there without hassle but removing it afterwards is gonna be tricky. If it sticks at all it may pull the felt...

    How small is too small???

The problem with that is if you cheat it to one side to get a full cue on one side it would be 63" from the wall to the playing surface. A 7ft tables playing surface is 39" so the short side would only be about 3 feet from the wall. Cues go down to 32" but it's not really fun at all playing with...

    Mosconi Cup Updates

And Europe blows it. This is all we needed. It's all tied up now with the momentum back on our side. This Mosconi Cup has been great so far. This is the first major pool event I've watched live and I must say I love it. I'm shouting U-S-A, U-S-A!

    Mosconi Cup Updates

Exactly! He's got 50 lbs on him. Not saying a little guy can't win a fight but come on, does Rodney look like he can't handle himself?

    Mosconi Cup Updates

I doubt Rodney is scared. Have you seen Pacific Islanders fight? Anyways back on topic. USA is playing well today. I think getting embarrassed in day 1 lit a fire under their butts. Let's go USA!

    Mosconi Cup Updates

Rodney was heated! I don't think DA wants to step outside with Rodney. And please don't take the mics off the players. I've enjoyed hearing the communication so far. It's getting interesting now.

    Mosconi Cup Updates

I think the communication between Johnny and Shawn is what got that match. Shawn looked nervous at first but Johnny talking him through it really seemed to calm him down. Great stuff so far. Go USA!!!!!!

    Question about 10 Ball

It's a legal shot. The lowest ball was contacted first and a ball hit the rail so it's a legal shot.

my significant other _____s that I play pool.

I was actually just thinking about that this morning and was gonna post a thread, no lie. My soon to be wife actually loves that I play pool. She really does. The thing that I love about it the most is that she can see the progress I've made and comments on it all the time. I definitely think...

room requirements for a 4'x8' table.

Cueboy, I am a table mechanic, been working on tables for 18 yrs. The info I gave you is correct. If you do the math, 39 in playing surface+ 57 in cue+ 57 in cue= 12 ft 9 inches. Unless you have no back stroke you will not be able to stroke regularly. Average stroke is about 6 inches. Add that...

room requirements for a 4'x8' table.

Unless you want to jack up or use a short stick on shots right on the rail the 7ft would be better off. 13 is still kinda tight on a 7ft but it's doable. The inside playing surface of a 7ft table is 39 inches and a cue is 58-60 inches so you want 13'6 to 13'9 to be comfortable/ not jacking up or...

    Arizona pool player thread

Ok cool thanks for the info. I was hoping for Daimonds but Valleys will do. Do you know how they will determine my rating? I've never played in a tournament in AZ before.

For those that haven't seen this yet. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9JEySBTvhI&feature=youtube_gdata_player My 3 favorite parts; "What effect did the fans have on you winning?" "They didn't have any" The hand shake between him and Ralf Souquet. "Do you wanna see someone shit on themselves?"

Fix up Players Cue or buy a new one?

For $50 you can just get him a new cue. McDermott makes a line called Lucky that has cues starting at $39 and for the price in my opinion are the best bang for your buck. I have one and still play with it almost everyday cuz I like the way it plays so much. They offer a 3 yr warranty on that...
