Fedor Gorst vs Tkon Nguyen race to 120 is Live

Tkon is just a nickname, you might have heard of him by his full name, Nguyen Anh Tuan. Came in 11/16 in Premier League Pool with a 7-8 record last year and has a 770 Fargo, so a world class pro but a big underdog.

Possible to extend shaft length from 29 to 30 inches?

I know it sounds silly but I had to ask. Is it possible for a cuemaker or repair person to add an inch and change a shaft from 29" to 30"?

Joss- 1968-1979- Post your Pictures Please!!!

Just picked up this block letter joss with a 5/16x18 pin. Someone installed a leather wrap, but they did an absolutely incredible job and it took me a minute to find the seam. I'm surprised at how uneven the points are. Is that common for this era? Also, the maple color is a beautiful dark...

Carolina Custom w/ MOP inlays and micarta ferrule - New Old Stock

Selling this very nice Carolina Custom. Unplayed - I got this from a defunct dealer that said it was new old stock. Located in NYC. Beautiful orange-ish red paduak wood with silver rings, linen wrap, and mother of pearl inlays in the buttsleeve. The ferrule appears to be micarta. In the photos...

    WTB - Predator Z3, 5/16x18, 30"

Looking to buy a Predator Z3 shaft in a 5/16x18 joint. Used condition is fine. 30" length is preferred. Could also be interested in other 30" wood LD shafts in the 11.75 - 12mm range, such as OB Pro+, Mezz WX900, Jacoby Ultra Pro, etc, if they have a 5/16x18 joint.

Videos of unfamiliar and obscure billiard games

English billiards: I stumbled upon it by accident one day and lost my mind because I had never heard of any remotely close to it, and yet it's professionally organized and has a world championship.

    3/8 by 10 pin

I've had this happen with visually identical 3/8x10 modified pins. If you retap it, yes it will be looser on the pin it originally fit on. However, you should only need to tap it a tiny amount, and in my case the result was perfect for both butts.

Interesting Insights from Rory Mcllroy's Psych Doc

Did we all forget that one of the (if not THE) greatest cueists of a time attributed much of his success to a sports psychology coach? Google "Ronnie O'Sullivan Steve Peters" and you'll see a billion write-ups on how he owes so much of his legacy to his sports psychology coach.

    2025 Seattle Open

Surprised nobody has posted a thread about this yet. 64 players and only 4 higher than 790 Fargo, but a Matchroom ranking event nonetheless. We're now down to the final 8. Edward Koyongian, the favorite with a 823 rating, has already been knocked out. Here's the bracket...

Wood vs carbon fiber shafts for top pros - I went through the Fargo top 100 to see who uses what

My impression that it was the other way around, where they're paid to use CF since those are the higher margin products. I remember there were a lot of rumors that Filler wanted to stick with his Z shaft but was forced to use a Revo.

Wood vs carbon fiber shafts for top pros - I went through the Fargo top 100 to see who uses what

You can see the entire list in this spreadsheet here. Some takeaways Of the top 100, 46 players use wood, 53 use carbon fiber, and 1 uses fiberglass (Skylar Woodward) Wood is way more popular than CF in Asia. For example, 8/10 Taiwanese pros and 20/30 Filipino pros on the list use wood Carbon...

Cue Tec Propel jump cue, sold out

I'm a proficient jumper that's tried a lot of jump cues and I thought the Propel was fine but not mind blowing. Just as good but no better or worse than a Predator Air Rush, a Triple 60 Hyperjump, a Hanshew, a Becue jumper, etc.

Custom Pool cue makers from China?

What you guys are imagining are only the cities in China. Think about America and NYC - many people live in tiny apartments and don't have workshop space in NYC, but that doesn't mean it's that way throughout the entire country, right? Same with China - there are plenty of densely packed...
