    help with weight bolt

Nothing wrong with a good old set screw  I use one on my jump cue too. I believe that one of the reasons that Predator uses their own bolts is the marketing ploy of being able to change the weight in 0.1oz increments. For that a regular set screw is too heavy and they would lose that...

Beginner cue building question, help with equipment needed.

I have been doing tips and basic ferrule jobs for a little over year now and the bug has bit me bit on cue making. Or cue maintenance more so:o I have a ton to learn about different things and building techniques and I plan on buying one of the cue makers manuals found in the internet to get a...

    Butt Extension for Schon

For constant use I would get a mid cue extension, like a Balance Rite. I feel like rear extensions ruin the balance of a cue when used all the time, but thats just me. I made an adapter piece for my Schön to accept a Mezz extension to be used when reaching for long shots. This would work for...

    help with weight bolt

I took out one bolt for dimensions by putting 2 hex keys in the holes, sticking out the end of the butt, then placed a screwdriver between the two and simply turned the bolt out. Then I took the necessary dimensions, made the tool and went to remove the rest of the bolts that remained in the...

    help with weight bolt

I made the tool needed for play cues with Predators own weight bolts, pics can be found in: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=5360512&postcount=9 The thread on playing cues is M16x1.5 and in my Air2 jump cue it is M14, standard metric threads. You dont necessarily need the spesific...

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

I got myself an Air2 jump cue recently, guess what is on it now  The sound of hit is really hard tink sound but for jumping I have yet to have any cracks on the CB  Im liking it well now, some day I'll get a Hammerhead to try out and then settle with one tip. As of now the SPC...

    Project Tomahawk ferrule material.

I bought a foot of this material to try on different cues. Note that I am not an exprerienced cue maker and I cannot go too deep in comparision to other materials as I havent worked with many in cue making. Machining plastics is something that I am really familiar with though as I work as a CNC...

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

I have been toying around with different breaks with the SPC and I cant say that I have experienced any miscue issues. With a lot of english the sound of hit is indeed very high and may even be mistaken to a miscue. I havent had any more miscues with this than I had with a Taom tip so in my...

    Ball????

I have the tournaments at home and I agree with pocket, they are worth the extra few bucks. Great set of balls and beautiful as ever. I have the TV colours as they are nicer to my eye

    Cue Recommendations

For your budget it is near impossible to find a decent custom maker to take on a cue like you described :( If I were you I would use the money to buy a Schön or a Mezz cue. Mezz has some really nice looking cues in the sub 600 price range. A few links below to give you a taste  If you...

OB plus or Z2 or S Tuned shafts

^ Great reply. Well worth a greenie  I do agree on having some deflection being useful. I play my best with 12.5-12.75 shafts, skinnier than that and too ld shafts make things really hard for me :)

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

^ Good post Greyghost  I agree that the jumping and breaking with a tip on video doesnt provide much valuable info about how a product works. The video posted is mostly made to show how extremely hard the compound is when cutting it and to provide a little acoustic reference in play on...

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

I do for jumping. Breaking is harder to judge, it works but the cb control suffers a little compared to taom. SPC exceeds Taom as a Jump tip when it comes to really close shots and it also seems to function adequately as a break tip

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

I promised a review on these tips so hre you go  To start off, I am not in any way connected to SPC tips, I have not received a free sample and I will do my very best to give out an unbiased review on a new product. I bought my tip from DoubleDaveCues. The shipping was lightning...

Product testers wanted, new Jump/Break tip SURE SPC

I'm currently editing the video of my SPC review. It will be posted here tomorrow, there will be some close up photos, video of installation, jumping and a break with it. After playing with it for an hour or so I must admit that I am blown away by the SPC tip. First impression is that it is...

Glue to use and tips for a predator ferrule change.

I will experiment with the Tomahawk ferrule first and I'm feeling pretty confident in it judging from the online reviews on it :) Will see how it holds up as this particular application is known to be quite the test for ferrule material durability. I ordered some Devcon 2ton epoxy for the...
