Alex, Events like all the major league nationals are divided into men's and women's events. The men's events are considered open to anyone. The women's events are considered closed to women only. Let's not get into players who consider themselves a different sex than what they were born as...

Your post does nothing but reinforce the difference between men and women pool players and Fargo Rate. A 600 player should be the same ability regardless of their sex. Otherwise we have nothing but the APA 7 from New York City and the APA 7 from East Podunk, South Dakota. They're the same...

So what you are really saying is Fargo is not accurate enough to differentiate between a 600 man and a 600 woman. If they are equal then there should only be ONE event with both participating. If they are NOT equal then separate events are required. Is a man's skill different than a woman's...

Neither do I!!! If Fargo is so accurate, why are there still separate events for men and women? There should be one, POSSIBLY divided up by age, instead of multiple events for both with the prize money divided up so every winner gets less. When there is ONE event, I'll believe Fargo works...

Mini's are divided up by Fargo Rate. Yes, it is worth playing in them if for nothing else than preparing for the Diamond table / Cyclop TV ball sets / Cyclop cue ball. Not sure when you are arriving. If you are there on Tuesday, get a couple of team mates and play the 3 man 9 ball team event...

John, Along with all the other caveats mentioned by other posters, be aware you can not bring outside food and drink into the tournament area. The convention areas are rented out to a private company who places "guards" at all entrances to the playing area. The ban includes coffee etc...
