    Calling all pro speed players

Well folks, I'm getting ready to make some pop corn. The beer is still in the fridge waiting for the right moment. This could be huge! Fargo dropped me again. This time to 649. I've played Karen, Julie, Kelly, Jeanette, Jennifer and several other top American based female players with mixed...

Opinions on 9-Ball Tourney Hill/Hill Controversy

That assumes the shooting player is honest. Without a referee, the shot still goes to the shooter regardless if they call the pocket or not. In this case, the shooter admitted they didn't call the pocket. B wins period! Just ask Shane. Lyn

    Alex pagulayan cue

Was in the Carmeli booth at SBE while Alex and Ariel were discussing cues. Pretty sure Alex plays with at least two Carmeli butts. Not sure about the shaft manufacturer. Lyn

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

Cory, I agree with your point. That is why I question how a man at 600 is different than a woman at 600. The numbers should mean the same thing. Lyn

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

Alex, Events like all the major league nationals are divided into men's and women's events. The men's events are considered open to anyone. The women's events are considered closed to women only. Let's not get into players who consider themselves a different sex than what they were born as...

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

Your post does nothing but reinforce the difference between men and women pool players and Fargo Rate. A 600 player should be the same ability regardless of their sex. Otherwise we have nothing but the APA 7 from New York City and the APA 7 from East Podunk, South Dakota. They're the same...

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

So what you are really saying is Fargo is not accurate enough to differentiate between a 600 man and a 600 woman. If they are equal then there should only be ONE event with both participating. If they are NOT equal then separate events are required. Is a man's skill different than a woman's...

Seeing FARGORATE stuff makes me wonder

Neither do I!!! If Fargo is so accurate, why are there still separate events for men and women? There should be one, POSSIBLY divided up by age, instead of multiple events for both with the prize money divided up so every winner gets less. When there is ONE event, I'll believe Fargo works...

Need BCA Las Vegas tips and tricks

Mini's are divided up by Fargo Rate. Yes, it is worth playing in them if for nothing else than preparing for the Diamond table / Cyclop TV ball sets / Cyclop cue ball. Not sure when you are arriving. If you are there on Tuesday, get a couple of team mates and play the 3 man 9 ball team event...

Need BCA Las Vegas tips and tricks

John, Along with all the other caveats mentioned by other posters, be aware you can not bring outside food and drink into the tournament area. The convention areas are rented out to a private company who places "guards" at all entrances to the playing area. The ban includes coffee etc...

APA needs to step it up

Runnin... My earlier post stated that Gary Benson and High Country Promotions supply the tables for both the APA singles and team events. They also supply the tables for ACS and VNEA nationals for sure. Don't know who TAP uses. My guess is it changes with each location. BCAPL uses Bad Boys...
