You need to bore a starter hole the exact size of your drill. Gun drills do not work off the center like conventional drill bits. They have to have something to follow and if you get off to a bad start you end up with a worse finish. I wrote a tutorial...

Won't stand up to sanding. You could probably get away with razor blading the excess off instead of sanding and prolong the life some. I'd still save up for carbide in the mean time.

After using this case for a few days and finding out is has a pretty low value I have decided to keep it for a storage case.

Nice job Travis. When I first read the thread title I was expecting a bunch of hearts and clubs inlayed in a ebony cue. This one is refreshingly (is that a word?) different.
