I 100% built that cue. I gave it to him to play in some senior events many years ago when he was not building cues. After he passed a picture of it popped up and he had put his red dot in the butt cap. I can see that it has been re wrapped and the bumper was changed. Not sure if he kept my pin...

Sure it is but I was addressing the sharp vs round. Panto's just don't magically make a sharp inlay. Plus most of the templates used are made on a CNC. I know, I've made the templates for some pretty famous cues.

This shit makes my head hurt. A panto and a CNC inlay machine use the EXACT same cutter and produce the EXACT same pocket. Both will be round (cutter diameter) unless they are sharpened. There is no magic bullet that makes a panto cut a sharp pocket. Razor sharp diamonds into light wood with no...

Pantographs are great. I built lots of templates for them on my CNC.

Not true. I have one from the early 60's. Still in service but the tape reader has been replaced by more modern controls.

They are only straight as long as the mandrel they are built on is straight and the guy operating the finish sander is competent.
