Alex v. Fedor Uno Pocket, is this old?

I don't get it (gambling as a whole), but none of our brains are wired the same. Would make for a pretty dull world if they were...

    Pros and Cons Gambling

Insurance is the opposite of gambling, it's security. Not having insurance or being under-covered IS a gamble. Then you're betting nothing happens. "Oh, that would never happen to me..." Sounds reckless and naive, no? Then when something does happen you end up paying out of pocket or buried in...

New pool training app just launched

Found a similar feeling paper to my Turtle Rack and punched a bunch of donuts out of it. They work perfectly, are easy to move around the table for different drills, and they don't move when the ball is hit. Credit to my crafty mother for coming up the the materials/punches.

Alex v. Fedor Uno Pocket, is this old?

That's a hell of a lot of money for people that don't gamble. I don't just see a number, I see buying power. I equate every dollar to something I could be spending it on.

Wait, $1000/game isn't high stakes??? sudo <-- doesn't gamble

Great quote that lots of players need to read in an effort to speed up the game.

100%. There's a difference between being deliberate and being deliberately slow. I altered my PSR to be a bit more deliberate to the CB and played a couple games under a shot clock because it felt slow. Never even needed my extension in the 5-6 racks I played. I think a lot of players look like...

    USPS....

So we should invest more in it. USPS is the ONLY delivery service in many parts of the country, so damaging it hurts a lot of people (especially in rural areas). The quality of service does seem to depend on where you are located and how you're using it: for me it's fantastic and I prefer to...

Alex v. Fedor Uno Pocket, is this old?

I felt the same about the 2 exhibition matches this week. Sure in odd circumstances the old guard may know what to do, but the raw pocketing ability and CB control of current world class players is on another level. Leave any sort of opening and they're out...

    USPS....

It's called the Postal *Service* for a reason. It serves the country and is not intended to turn a profit (which no government service should). USPS cost $10B in 2024 of a total Federal spend of $6.75T. That's .0015%. If you're looking to save Federal $$$, check the couch cushions first.

We tried to get a tap in the Union at NDSU, but that took all of 10 seconds to be shot down. Y'all may not believe it, but NDSU is a dry campus...

That blows. I spent loads of time at the Memorial Union at NDSU (my grades reflected that...). We had 9 GCs, 2 ping-pong tables, a shuffleboard table, and an 8-lane bowling alley. Mike Montgomery (RIP), a dear friend and the manager of that area put so much work into that place being excellent...

How Important Is it to Own/Use a Break Cue

What's kind of funny is I've fully rotated out an "actual" break cue... - Bought a BK Rush to replace a Players J/B that cracked. - Didn't really like the BK sport-grip butt so moved the shaft to a Roadline I couldn't get the balance right to play with. - Just put a 30" Revo 12.9 with a Kamui...

How Important Is it to Own/Use a Break Cue

Hey, some of us like shiny things even if they won't directly make us better. Look good, feel good, play good (maybe...).

Yeah, migrating apps can be a real pain. Especially websites when they could be going from one platform to another with DB changes and all kinds of other variables. I live that every day and having a team of pros doesn't make it much better. You just need to fight your way thru it a bit at a time.

How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

There was a Diamond at one of the MSP houses that i think they tried to set up for 1P. The thing had like half an inch of shims and they weren't even. Pocket facings may as well have been steel, everything rattled from up table, but would drop along the short rail... Fortunately that one was...

    Predator Las Vegas Mens Open

I don't mind the list view for the first rounds, especially in the big tournaments where a bracket can get cluttered. Once they get to 64 it should be a bracket though.

How Important Is it to Own/Use a Break Cue

This is one of the reasons I switched from the BK shaft to a 12.9 to break with. It's still got a Kamui SAI on it, but i rarely hammer my breaks and even then i can't hit it as hard as many people can (Kaci 👀). I usually find myself dialing back the power to avoid clusters or balls getting hit...

    Busti-T-Rex.....LIVE 1p

That was amazing to watch. The level of CB control and shot making abilities of these players is absolutely otherworldly. What's with the commentators constantly talking about the "tight" 4-1/8" pockets? These guys have been playing on 3.9-4" pockets non-stop for the last year...
