100% disagree. The perimeter lights are amazing and what I'll have if I can find a place (reasonably priced) with a room big enough for the table... They also have brightness settings. They also allow you to turn down/off the ceiling lights in a pool hall if you have a bunch of them.

I'm sure if it's insanely cold and you're pounding on it, but they've been making hockey sticks and protective gear, skis, fat bikes, etc out of carbon for years that take far more abuse at low temps.

The last time I played a stranger for money was some bozo "hustler" in a podunk MN bar that probably didn't even know tables came in different sizes. I was 18-19 (the DD) and my dad's buds talked me into playing $5 games with him. Beat the brakes off him for like $30 and he threw a ball at me...

I wish the hall closest to me would turn the damn heat down. It's always cooking in the corner with their 2 good tables. I'd rather wear a 1/4 zip or long sleeves than be sweating.

I've never seen any issues even after leaving my case in the truck for a while in MN winters, then going into a warm/humid pool hall. I'm more concerned with my cues. Not using wood anymore so it's more the ferrule and other parts that i want to warm up. Carbon is basically unaffected by the cold.

This is why I like practicing on tough tables. The table will start to punish me the *instant* I lose focus. Same goes for practicing with really good opponents. That's when it's time to stop for the day or at least take a break.

It was fun to watch. Wish we had a better mic on the table so we could hear the trash talk...

If your playing room is dark, you probably won't like the Tournament Black. Maybe new lights instead of swapping ball sets?

I bought a cheap dozen(?) pack from CueSoul like 12 years ago and only recently switched to the Predator SecondSkin. Have tried a few of those (one with the closed thumb) and really like them. The fit is much better, but I definitely need to be more careful taking them off so I don't pop seams...

Looked like 5". I think the table was a pretty standard GC. Seemed a little slow for new cloth though.

Predator only makes 3", 8", and 12" extensions. That is certainly shorter than the 3".

It's definitely not the 3". Kinda looks like an extension was cut then a bumper put on it. Would be pretty easy to do. I thought the same about stacking them, but you're adding significant weight with a full joint in the extension and another point in the cue that could lose stiffness.
