What do you do ..when putting in the work doesnt work?

As others have said: get coaching. First thing i do is analyze video of myself. GoPro footage has helped me with pool, bowling, my softball swing, and even my posture on my bikes. Seeing yourself can be a game changer. Another thing I like to do is scenario practice: I watch *loads* of pro...

    Carbon, back to wood...

When i was in college ('09-'14) i was the first in that crowd to wear a glove (sweaty hands also). They made fun of me for it. Now it's rare to see players without. I've gone from Players maple > 314-2 > Z-3 > Revo and Cynergy. Switching back to wood is really strange. I prefer the hit of the...

Yup. That stuff goes straight to my eyes. No chance.

Which table is easier if you had to beat the ghost for $1 million?

That would be a mess... Bits of human everywhere...

Which table is easier if you had to beat the ghost for $1 million?

I don't trust the plastic pockets on the GC and 9 ball on a bar box is like cheating.

WPBA to organize Women's World 8-Ball Championships

Did that while knocking out Jasmin (albeit not playing her best). I think if she keeps improving at this rate she'll be top 10 in a couple years. I know, i know; growth isn't linear. But she's going to be very good. I expect to see April there (MN represent!) and hope she plays well. Maybe all...

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Oh, I prefer drop pockets. I meant i didn't really like the really rounded rails, but liked the table having buckets. Yeah, they are absolutely enormous. Love tables with small pockets and giant buckets.

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

This discussion actually pushed me to finally get there. This count is about right. They have Gabriel's 9' tables, which I have never played before. The rail shape was a little odd and it wasn't very clean, but DROP POCKETS!!! I'd ask for their pro cut table if I go back. I'd put Two Stooges...

Is their a difference in revo shafts

Did you end up trying the 30" 12.9 for breaking? I prefer 30" shafts and was considering that as an option. Wish they'd just do a 30" BK...

    Are Jump Cues Worth It

My "coach" in college used to yell at me for leaning on my jump cue too much. He'd occasionally smack me on my way to it when we were playing matches. Especially if there was an obvious kick. After college i neglected the jump cue for years (was mostly playing bar pool) and struggle with it now...

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

There's one in Fridley now also (Two Stooges). Haven't been there yet, but I've heard good things. They have 7 and 9 footers (don't know the counts and they aren't on the website).

Attn fatboy... think they figured out they made a mistake? ;)

Then we can play Fatboy with the Purple 4-5-12-13 to really fuck with him... :ROFLMAO:

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Most of them play on 9s at Shooters. Not sure about what they do outside of there. I had a few ask me to play for $$$, but since i won't most of them won't give me the time of day.

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Kind of mind blowing that the only 9-foot tournaments in MN/WI reporting to FR are the Mon/Wed 9-ball at Shooters. We've been seeing many of the existing 9s being replaced by 7s recently also. Had a discussion with Jimmy (Jimmy's Pro Billiards in north Minneapolis) and he was considering going...

    Qatar World Cup 10 Ball 2024 (9-14 Dec2024) Prize Fund $450K Winner $100K+

How can there even be a question of what he was doing there? He has to hit the ball and i don't think it was possible to hit it without fouling and NOT have it drop. That's poor officiating.

Washing the cloth on the table

Playing at my local yesterday on a table that was *covered* in dark blue and white marks. They just recovered all their tables in the last 2 or so months. The rails always end up super greasy/sticky too. I swear they only wipe the rails down and never actually clean them.

Pool's latest growth in popularity is due to...?

I never play for money. Which apparently means no decent player want to play. Had a few ask me about $50-100 sets when i started going back to the local house. I told them i don't play for money, but i'll play friendlies with anyone. Don't even get the time of day now... so lame.

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

Was just thinking about this on Friday: I was at Jimmy's and a pair of siblings were playing at a table by me (actually playing, not goofing off). The younger was barely taller than the table . Rare, but really cool to see.(y)(y)

    Mosconi Cup 2024, Nov. 30-Dec. 3, Orlando

The root of it is really just depth. We have three 800s in the US. Asia and Europe can line them up out the damn venue. How that can be changed is up for debate. Short term: "poaching" players, sounds like Vitaliy may be with us next year. Long term: who tf knows...
