    Strickland - The greatest ever

I can see you are a huge Sigel fan..didn't mean to hit a nerve lol. We all have our favorites. Earl isn't mine, but I respect what he's accomplished. Like I said, Mike is one of the all time greats. No one can or will ever deny that. I also never said he didn't have firepower, he absolutely...

....A Question For My Balabushka Experts...

Whoops. Brain fart lol. I meant George. That's what you get when you're looking at a Szam thread the same time you're making one about a Bushka :o

....A Question For My Balabushka Experts...

Just wondering if anyone out there knew where *George* got the gold gears/rings that he used in some of his cues like the stuff shown below. I'd love to pick some up. Any help is appreciated. Cheers :)

    Looks like a Balabushka,plays better

I personally repect Dean and the business he does here.. But don't be surprised or offended when people don't take well to his car salesman-ish pitch. Better than a bushka? If anyone else on here claimed that about a cue they were selling on here, they would get flamed, and deservingly so. I...

My newly refinished 1969 Joss cue

If they can make em like that..you shouldn't have to ask. That should just be the way they come like the good ol days lol. Ps..I don't know if they can.. look at that deep honey colored shaft wood. Thats not as easy to come by anymore and thats a big part of why those old classics play so darn...

Teaching a Newbie to stay down

I really like that last part...very good idea. I just don't think too many people would dig it if someone was following us around the table holding a cue over our heads on every shot, especially if there's other people around. Some people just need that though I guess..

    Strickland - The greatest ever

Sigel didn't have Earl's firepower, or Buddy's consistency. He's no doubt one of the all time greats, but not the greatest. And yes, Earl tends to mentally implode from time to time, but Sigel's records -or anyone elses for that matter- don't come close to his (in regards to 9b anyway)

Joss- 1968-1979- Post your Pictures Please!!!

Now that's my kinda cue right there ;)

Teaching a Newbie to stay down

Tell him to keep his head down and chin touching the cue until he actually sees the ball drop. When he sees it drop, then he can stand up, not before. Eventually it becomes muscle memory to just stay down until you see it go in. Alex Pagulayan is probably one of the most consistent players when...

Hi guys, I have a Predator BK2 for sale. Wrapless, 19.5 oz, original phenolic tip, 12.75mm, everything is straight. Deal Of the Day! *>*> FS: 2 Gold Letter JOSS Merry Widow Butts *<*<

Hi guys, I have 2 Gold Letter era Joss plain jane butts. Both were players cues so they have some obvious wear (mostly in the buttcap) which can be seen in the pics, as well as some wear on the finish of the birds eye Joss. The linen on both is in excellent condition, and the birds eye on the...

    Would you ever.........

Depends on the game, depends on the amount, depends on the cue...in that order ;). I have certain cues I would never put up, no matter the amount. Other cues, sure...why not lol. If the cue doesn't have any special value, it wouldn't hurt to lose it any less than the bet amount

For some reason I love the look of that cue. Pm me if it comes up for sale ;)

How to CLEAN Irish Linen wrap ?

Get an experienced cue maker to do it. Getting the exact cut of the wrap, finding the exact thickness of the leather to match the depth of the wrap channel, and cutting it to hide the seam perfectly is something that takes someone who knows what they're doing. If you want to learn how to do it...
