The finished cue is beautiful. You did a great job showing the wood accented by nice trim rings.

Three hour lesson with Dennis Orcollo

I'd love to get a lesson from Dennis and at $50 that's too good to be true. Unfortunately I'm on the East Coast and it's just not feasible to travel that far. Best of luck to the lucky players who get to go.

Break Tips - Phenolic or Hard Laminated

This looks like a good idea, the most power for breaking and some leather to grip the cue ball on jump shots.

delux Cue smith cue lathe for sale

I like the box you built to hold the lathe. I have an old Cue-smith lathe that's basically just for repairs and i'd love to have mine in a box like you've done with your lathe. That was a good idea and it turned out great.

US Open One Pocket Moves to Reno

I wish I could make it to Reno to see this tournament since I love to play one pocket. I have a question about the tournament, do the players have a shot clock? I've never seen a one pocket tournament so i'm curious as to how it's set up.

    pool trophies..

I accumulated quite a few trophies over the years and all they did was collect dust. I never thought about trying to sell them like you are doing and I wish you good luck with them. I'm sure someone collects them.

Deluxe Cue Smith Lathe and Accessories AND woods

That's a nice set-up for someone wanting to do cue repairs and building a few cues. I have one of Chris's older cue smith lathes that I use only for repairs and i've thought many times about upgrading my lathe so I could do more than just light repairs. GLWS of your lathe. I don't think...

    Paul Del Giudice's Passing

Rip I never met Paul in person, but we talked on the phone a couple of times and it was like I was talking to an old friend. Paul bought a real nice TS cue from me and he was one of the nicest people I've ever dealt with. I'm sad to hear he's no longer with us.....

    Playing Advice Needed?

You're right about the APA handicap system spotting and adjusting someone's handicap up or down when they lose like i'm describing. Since our league is a local league run by two local players (they are great guys by the way and friends of mine) they determine a players speed from what they know...

    Playing Advice Needed?

The matches are a straight race to nine games with no spot. We flip a coin for the first break and see what happens. I like yours and PaulieB's posts and you have some great thoughts.

    5 x 10 tables

I played a couple of games of one pocket on a 10' Gold Crown and it's not for me. The table is just too big and you'd have to have quite a room in your home to hold one of these tables. I didn't enjoy playing on it at all.
