Try finding a piece of Jamaican Cocus that is a cue sized. You can find it but you may have to purchase a log and good luck getting a piece large enough that isn't cracked.

    Best Wood(s)

First I don't know there is a best wood. I am a fan of tone woods but I have no proof they make a better cue. I am inclined to think that almost any good piece of wood that turns and glues can be made into a decent cue. Age the wood turn it correctly and I think you'll have a decent cue. I am...

New Jerry R ...Brunswick 360 Plus Some

I have had Jerry build me 2 cues both full splice and they were perfect. Jerry was building cue in the ear of Gus and Ernie he isn't a new comer and he is reasonable as well as talented. I am not knocking any other cue Master but when Jerry tells you your cue will be done IT WILL be done. He is...

    Most Under Valued Cue Builder

I am going to throw out a good word for Dmitry B. Komarov (DBK) cues here in AZ. I have one of his cues and I do not know if its the length, 60 inches, the weight about 18.5 ozs or the fact that I am playing it on a 9 foot table. What ever it is I am playing some of the best pool I have played...

    DBK Russian Cue

OK i purchased a KD cue some years ago and sold it to a buddy who used it very little, I recently purchased it back as it is 60 inches and a friend purchased a 9 foot table. I normally shoot a 58 inch cue about 19.5 ozs and this cue is 60 inches at about 18.5 ozs. I have a Hercek Joel built...

    DBK Russian Cue

I hate to say this, I traded and bought back a cue I sold a buddy some yrs ago. I bought it back due to the fact that a buddy bought a 9 foot table and the cue is 60 inches long. It is lighter than I normally shoot with about 18.5 ozs. The problem or issue is I find that I shoot some of the best...

    Southwest

Sorry if I was offensive to anyone. Three hundred just sounded high. I have never visited Southwest but they are highly respected and talking to the few people I have that sound knowledgeable Southwest follows some hard fast procedures building their cues. With 3 people in the shop they'd have...
