    Olney-Bloodwood Cue

I purchased this cue in February of 2013. The pictures of a linen wrap are as I purchased it. I am not a fan of linen so I had it rewrapped with leather. The wrap job is good but not flawless. The butt has one small scuff in the butt, just the finish, the shaft has one small indent located...

Rubberheels "Buy a Schon and save thousands! " Rubber you have a point here and its valid to a point but, if you pay $800.00 for a Schon play it for 5 yrs and want to sell it, you may get 3-4 hundred for it. You aren't really losing any money because you played it, but if you are wanting...

I live in Alaska and haven't shoveled or plowed once this year. Talked to my folks in Minnesota last week and it was 30 below and 43 above in KENAI Alaska, I'll take global warming.

    Next Cue Recommendations

With a budget of $550.00 you can get a decent cue, the kicker is your time line, now long will you wait. Someone mentioned Onley and I can't speak from any thing other than one cue but mine is a great player and for the money a good deal. Another option maybe Pat Diveney.

    Hercek or Southwest

I don't think I'd personally compare a Southwest to a Schon, and I am not knocking Schon. I think it's more like a Schon is a like buying a Diamond at Fred Meyers Jewelers. The diamonds are good but you are limited to the options in the case. Southwest is more like Zale’s you can pick from a...

ugly woods that make a great hitting cue

I agree with Joey in California, but I disagree that Blood wood is ugly, I like it. As for Pernambuco it maynot have alot of figure but the cue had of it hit wonderfully.

    Hercek or Southwest

OK, if you had the choice between a Southwest and a Hercek what cue would you go with. I know they are two different animals construction, joint, etc. Both for me would be irreplaceable, just trying to get a general consense of the climate.

    Olney cue

First I have read enough comments on Mr Olney's cues to believe they play well. I purchased a New Olney basic cue off the forum because I'd misjudged the completion of my Southwest. I had my Hercek but other than a trip to Anchorage or league play I wasn't comfortable in a bar with it. So I...

Any Read The Science of Pocket Billiards?

I lent my soft cover out and thought enough of the book to replace it with a hard cover. It is the only pool book I have.
