    History of a glove?

I remember the Sir Joseph glove as one of the early ones- I believe that the company was out of Florida- I bought one early on and for some people, like me, I never looked back as the consistency of feel in the stroke made a world of difference.

    Increase in custom cue prices

I doubt that “many” of the 80 s / 90s Meucci cues etc are actually selling near $1,000 - a few - yes - and I still think those are ridiculous prices to pay - guys are now looking for a grand on The Meucci Oldie series cues and the 95-17 and 95-19 as well as some D series McDs. Folks paying...

    Increase in custom cue prices

I would never ever buy a GB plain titilist conversion cue as a true GB collectible - it would have to be a Spain or Gus blank or else not shelling out thousands - so I am consistent in my feelings about “conversion” pricing from 60s cues to modern day conversions.

Lots of guys going in this direction bc the cue market is so messed up now from all the Facebook and E bay non auction listings BS that really ruined it IMO

    Increase in custom cue prices

Yes well $800 for a red maple leaf Dufferin is insane IMO - I don’t care who added a shaft to it - Some Dufferin’s came with a 5/16 14 joint screw in the butt that had a wide shoulder unthreaded section on the joint screw- you just unscrew it from the butt and insert the correct length 5/16 14...

    Increase in custom cue prices

Well any Dufferin “conversion” is still just a Dufferin and IMO none should sell for over $400 today - I don’t care who did it , I did one myself - the silver leaf ebony full splice - the MOST desired Dufferin - mine is mint and I would not expect more than $400 - will play as good as whatever...

Is this a Balner or maybe a Paradise?

Mike Fedunka- possible? Karl Mayer- possible? could be a one off from anybody in that era.

Well, I see it here too now- I guess it is carrying over from E bay.

Seller shipped cue via USPS on the 13th, but it is seemingly still not in transit. Just shows Accepted by USPS.

A member here mailed me a cue ball USPS and it took 14 days to arrive- the item bounced between two post offices in Georgia for a full week! I live in Florida. - I NEVER use USPS for any packages --- not sure if it is their employees or their internal routing systems that cause all of this...

    Increase in custom cue prices

Used production cue asking prices are also hitting the ridiculous stratosphere. - we are seeing sellers asking $1000 and sometimes more for used 80s and90s era Meucci, McDermott, and now a Dufferin or two with some cue maker’s name attached to the maple leaf banger for close to a G note - not ME!

Is this a Balner or maybe a Paradise?

If you think that the ferrule and tip are original than that could tell you if it was a 60s or 70s made cue as there were a limited number of tips and ferrule material used back then. Jim Odom out of Texas was a big Rambow fan and this could be an early Odom cue from his start back in the...

I am fairly done buying and selling cues - maybe one or two here or there but mostly just going to play what I now own going forward, Happy that I got through about 30 years of this cue and case commerce without getting burnt too badly. Things are getting out of hand in many ways and I fear...

    Cue I.D. with W logo

All picking is a big”if” that is why most don’t do it - mostly a needle in a haystack find.

    Cue I.D. with W logo

A pickers dream if the price is right - whenever a cue is for sale and the present owner has no idea who made it😀

    Sharking

My greatest enjoyment of this game has always been playing straight pool alone for several hours - nothing more relaxing for me at the table than this exercise. Competition is always welcome and can be very enjoyable as well - but I have zero tolerance for playing a game if it is even remotely...

    Increase in custom cue prices

The only answer to your question is the market itself today. The market is what a willing and able buyer will offer today for each cue. Recent comparable selling prices on identical cues would be a strong guide - if those exist - you would need to do your research via major online cue selling...

Tight 4.5 Inch Pockets Vs Loose 4.5 Inch Pockets

I just cannot continue a discussion with someone who wants to compare the amount of knowledge required in 14.1 to the pool knowledge required for 9 ball.

Tight 4.5 Inch Pockets Vs Loose 4.5 Inch Pockets

A little bit of knowledge compared to what you need to know to have decent runs in14.1 for damn sure.

Russ Espriritu Cue, Justin Craig Info?

Send photos to Proficient Billiards( they are online) - tell them what you want done to the cue - he will quote you a fair price by today’s standards and the whole process including shipping both ways will take about 30 days. Ship your cue UPS or Fed Ex - not the Post Office!

Tight 4.5 Inch Pockets Vs Loose 4.5 Inch Pockets

I think that the original Brunswick GCI got it right - the game was 14.1 and you had to develop a stroke and actually learn how to play the game correctly to be successful . ESPN and 9 ball changed everything - just be able to count 1-9 and the game became easy - so now they had to fool with...
