    Cue maker Noli Alejandro

The PI cue maker’s answer to warping shafts was to make shafts that were very thick with very little taper - so when received here in the U. S. one had to engage a cue maker to re- taper the shafts and then pray that they would not warp out - which they mostly do bc the shafts were never cut...

    Cue maker Noli Alejandro

I have owned and handled a few top name P I cues. Overall I would say that they are OK - but certainly not up to the standards of top U.S. cue makers. Issues: shaft tapers can vary widely and are often lacking in proper taper, many have " leather" wraps that are way too slick and have to be...

    Sold PEARSON CUE

I'm here to attest- unsolicited- that I have played against someone over the past two weeks who is also using one of these inexpensive Pearson cues- and the guy plays lights out with it! He is a Brit- snooker guy - he bought this for 8 ball/ 9 ball- while here in FL for the winter months---...

    Windex

Long ago a cue maker stated that he only recommended 90+% alcohol be used to clean shafts. With 70% alcohol you are rubbing 30% water into wood fibers- not a great mix over the long term as some of that water is being absorbed by the wood fibers immediately- I have stayed with his theory for...

My first lesson with a certified instructor, Dragon Billiards

I would like to thank all those who shared some insight into vision centers as they relate to the pool shot. I have been a student for years of Mark Wilson’s “ Play Great Pool” - I do not recall Mark addressing vision centers at all in his book - so I was curious as to why he would omit this...

My first lesson with a certified instructor, Dragon Billiards

I agree that one has to see a straight shot as straight. I would wonder how someone could determine that proper head position for another person- given dominant eyes, etc. etc. -- I imagine that each individual via trial and error eventually would determine their own unique proper set up to...

WHY CANT YOU DELETE A PRIVATE MESSAGE?

Common Sense- if you agree to something that involves a business transaction- would you not want both parties accountable for what their agreement stated?

My first lesson with a certified instructor, Dragon Billiards

Funny- the teaching that I follow says to find the desired enter line of cue ball strike point to object ball strike point in order to pocket the object ball. You then go into your stance so the the cue follows down that straight line. Now you say that one has to somehow get down on this...

My first lesson with a certified instructor, Dragon Billiards

What do you mean by vision center? How does this differ from finding the correct shot line between the OB the CB and the pocket and then setting up to cue in a straight line from cue tip to CB to desired contact point on the OB? I assume that eyes should always be centered over the cue shaft...

    Where to place my table?

My suggestion is a very accepted method of removing basement support poles. It does not have to be a super expensive option - and it is done routinely. I have no idea of the poster’s handyman skills or his financial situation- do you?

    Where to place my table?

If you intend to stay in this house for a good length of time and truly enjoy playing pool I highly recommend replacing those support columns with an overhead steel beam . You can minimize the cost by just replacing the two columns closest to that end wall if that will provide adequate room...

    Madison Bob 😎

The cue is sitting at $500 for a while plus $36 shipping and e bay charges state tax so could be a $585 full purchase price on e bay - that seems a bit high - all in for this cue on e bay - no takers yet on the buy it now . He may have to go to $400 to sell it with all the extra fees to the...

Can anyone help me identify this cue stick before I put on eBay auction to sell?

Adam A/H -25 St. Moritz. If the cue is reasonably straight and if the refinish is truly professional in execution, then you should now have easily doubled your initial purchase price. if you are keeping it, fine. if you are selling it- there will be a small market at the top of the price range...
