Planning My Gold Crown VII Purchase

I agree on my biggest concern being the install. If this is truly a completely new build by Brunswick- what training will occur around the entire U.S. to insure that distributor install mechanics know this new table inside and out- literally. My take, as mentioned earlier, in visiting the local...

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

I know- $9500 for a Diamond is a far cry from $12,500+ for a New Brunswick made in China- I have a lot to think about over the next year as I make a final decision- but I learned from my very first Olhausen table purchase - 35 years ago ( mistake!) -- not to rush these things.

Brunswick gold crown 7 video ..everything new walk through from the expo!

I was offered a Rasson table already- Jason Shaw has Rassons in his room in CT. owned jointly with his Korean father in law, Joe. I have known Joe for a long time - I have an opportunity to possibly buy Jason's home table at his house here in CT- but I think that it is 4 1/4 pockets from what...

Planning My Gold Crown VII Purchase

I would like to find a place here to play on one. I will be looking for a table as I just moved back North and I do have a billiard room size set up in the new home that I am buying and it will accommodate a nine foot table. I would possibly invest $12,500 if it included full set up and the...

Info on this Huebler Blue Mammoth and Elephant Ivory Cue set, please? Buttcap, both ferrules and joint are all elephant ivory.

Certainly could list this for $1200- waiting for the " right person" was never my idea of selling - but everyone has different time frames. I think that we are in the same ballpark- I had $900 on the higher end- you see a quick sale at $1000. so listing at $1200 may indeed make sense as you mention.

Info on this Huebler Blue Mammoth and Elephant Ivory Cue set, please? Buttcap, both ferrules and joint are all elephant ivory.

The info on this cue is somewhat in front of you- it is a Huebler 1995 custom shop production Huebler cue. Huebler made a few different custom shop models during this time period. The production run of custom shop models was approximately 300 per model per year. These cues turn up...

A List of the Greatest Pool Players of All-Time

I am watching a 2024 14.1 match last night : Zeilinski vs. Archer- the new fast cloth, rail speed, and modern ball elasticity all add up to a rack that opened up completely on every break shot. Zielinski's opening high run was a cakewalk as he had basically wide open racks after each break-...

New York City/State Straight Pool Tournaments of the early 1960's

I believe that he is the Brooklyn Johnny mentioned earlier in this thread

Why are YOU buying Pool cue on eBay?

Well there are many online billiard sites like Seyberts that sell thousands of cues a year at retail. Many, many new cues are sold at retail every day online. Every distributor of production cues is technically selling at retail- when selling to the end user. The production run of 50 GB SLE3...

Why are YOU buying Pool cue on eBay?

If a cue is so poorly represented here - the guy will get one sale and never again. Lots of e bay sellers sell crap over and over again. E bay will not refund over cue straightness disputes - they only force refunds on cues if they are not delivered as pictured. It has to be a very very obvious...

New York City/State Straight Pool Tournaments of the early 1960's

Wondering if George Mikula was a 14.1 tournament player in the 60s into 70s. I met him in 1990 and he was not active in tournaments then but was giving lessons. Where did he rank compared to Eufemia, Murphy, and Nagy?

Why are YOU buying Pool cue on eBay?

I have not bought many cues in my life from a retail dealer either online or brick and mortar. If I did , just like a car , once you have it out of retail it will most likely lose value- unless the item becomes a rarity desired by collectors or the car model or a particular cue maker becomes...

A List of the Greatest Pool Players of All-Time

The Billiard Digest had a three or four part series in consecutive issues on this subject - I own it somewhere in my storage unit- it was done very well!

A List of the Greatest Pool Players of All-Time

Many people who dig deep into the actual historic results and historic word of mouth testimonials rank Harold Worst as perhaps the greatest pool TALENT of all time . This is just conjecture but it is out there and has been for over 50 years. Based on what I have listened to by eye witnesses- I...

New York City/State Straight Pool Tournaments of the early 1960's

Back in the 1960s into early 70s many states and cities had 14.1 title tournaments. The Northeast and mid west were dominant areas for this. Even Boy’s Club of America had city and state pool title tournaments. As well as Collegiate local and national title tournaments. The back of the Minnesota...

Why are YOU buying Pool cue on eBay?

I sell my cues very quickly here- usually within a few days - because I discount from all the e bay fees and problems to offer a realistic cue price that WILL sell quickly. Too many sellers here live in dreamland IMO. I have been a part time picker / seller of many categories of items...
