Calcutta Cease & Desist Order in Washington State

Great explanation of what a Calcutta is. I REALLY hate the temperance movements wrapped up in their own backhanded market protection. How dare someone cast lots without the state's blessing?!?! I can't until I get to watch the Pete Rose Hall of Fame induction ceremony brought to us by FanDuel...

    Toam v10

It is. You are possibly buying a clone. If the price isn't a substantial discount, you are better off buying from a reputable dealer. I would stick to real either way, but that's me. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

Single layer tip in between an Elkmaster and Triangle or Lepro?

Ki-tech is likely the best option in 2025. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

Can you get a fair idea on the quality of a pool cue shaft, just from a few pics alone?

I would like to hear others opinions, but mine would be this: If the tip diameter is large enough and the price is low enough, I can get it tapered to what I prefer. There are a lot of knockoff SW cues out there that would be 3/8-11. Weight of the shaft would be a good way to know you are not...

    Help identify joint pin?

Hard to tell scale here but 3/8-10 is likely. Flat faced 5/16-14 is a possibility. I'll root for 3/8-10 because it will be easier to find a shaft. Most 5/16s have a pilot, a nub that would be recessed into the joint end. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

Shaft to Butt Joint Adapters - Thread Converters

I have an extension that allows for radial shafts on a 5/16-14 butt. I bought it used but was purported to be made by AZB user newsheriffintown. I imagine him or some other maker can do this. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    CF Shaft Brands or names

You are missing Becue. I have the first Prime M 12mm. I like Jacoby best. Their taper is amazing. I've owned and sold an 11.8 Revo and a Mezz Ignite. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

Interesting article on the decline of Bowling

A few years ago, my local paper had a bowling column each week. In an interview with a proprietor, it said their liability insurance went up to 80k a year. It would be hard to operate any business where you basically paid an employee 80k who just sat there doing nothing. Sent from my Pixel 6a...

Taom V10 is the best chalk I've used. If you've got something better tell me what and why.

I agree with you. Green triangle is the best cheap option. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

Why do players seem to want the same cue, tip, and specs that their favorite player uses?

I also knew that factoid from watching a "what's in your bag" video or something. I don't think it is because the OP is obsessing over a player's equipment. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    THE Magic Rack

I am not a good enough breaker to comment on subtleties between these racks though I prefer outsville. I got the matchroom branded magic racks so I know I have the real thing. I bet it is easy to have a knockoff. Sent from my Pixel 6a using Tapatalk

    noob question

A ball rolling slowly over a hole in the template could change the path of the ball. There are people who put round paper reinforcers on their cloth (or similar). They could also alter the path. Assuming you are using your table to practice and not gamble for vast sums, it probably doesn't hurt...
