I've searched this forum and haven't found what is the definative trait of a Titlist cue or a cheap knock off. A link to an existing thread would be good if it takes too long to answer.
I'm not a mechanic but I'll save you a search. Here you will find that the mechanics generally have the following recommendations.
1) Artemis cushions if you just want the best regardless of the co$t.
2) The black Diamond cushions seem to be the best quality for the money.
3) SuperSpeed, they...
A couple of years ago I pointed out that stance is more important than being able to stroke the cue. If the stance is good all around the table with the cue ball on the rail, then the stroke will be good. My right foot is usually 1 foot further back than the butt of the cue.
There is a coarse side and soft side to the Ballstar Optima BCM 201 disk pad. I can't find anything in the directions or on the internet that says which side should be up. Any ideas?
There are 3 types who come to this section of AZB: 1) I am not a mechanic or DIYers, 2) people who call themselves mechanics or installers, and 3) real mechanics of which there are precious few.
I'm not a mechanic ... but I have an 8-inch Sterrett. A carpenters level will not do the job! Besides, it'll impress your friends when they complain that your tables are not level and you say, "Excuse me while I whup this out!"
A new 8-inch Sterrett can be had for ~$85 off of eBay. If you...
juspooln .. I am not a mechanic but a hall owner that does some my own tables. I got both DVDs from Seyberts. The rail DVD is complete but the slate DVD demonstrates with 3M77 on a Valley slate instead of 3M10. Regardless, follow the stretch shown. Glen may chime in but he explains why in...
I'm not a mechanic but I will say that your instructor should know that "tapered pockets" are more apt to rattle a ball hit fast down the rail than "parallell" pockets. Somebody else will give you a more thorough lesson in pocket angles and shelf depth but in the mean time read this on...
Since Smart Tables only take quarters and dollars and won't do you any good in Europe ... soooo, if you find 12 matching 7-foot Smart Tables at a bargain .... :thumbup2: yeah, right.
Seriously, good luck on your search and acquisition.
"If anyone wanted, all they have to do is ask Kerry to make rails that make the pockets smaller"
That is a fact ... When I talked to Kerry a few months ago and asked about angles he said he could make them any angle I wanted. Also did you notice that the pics on eBay do not show the back of the...
I would think they are as well built as Ridgebacks but I think you're missing the point asking if they are better than Ridgebacks.
I'm not a mechanic but I'm familiar with Ridgebacks and stock valley rails from an owners perspective.
Ridgebacks and Pro Pocket K55s serve different purposes...
I was researching if was possible to stretch cloth too tight and came across this thread. I'm not a mechanic but I installed Championship Tour Edition on an 8-foot Valley and missed the mark by 3/4 inch with the 3M10 already on the cloth. Figured I'd screwed up real bad, right? Using Kerry's...
