installing cloth staples vs contact glue

I'm not a mechanic but ... unless you plan to recover a home table as many times as a commercial table, or your backing is already gone, why glue? Again I'm not a mechanic and I am sorry if I offended the experts.

My stance has more of an impact than stroke . My rear foot is 6 - 8 inches behind the cue. Make sure that there are no unmovable obstacles (base-board heat, hearths etc.) unless you stand flat-footed against the rail. My 2 cents.

    Family Friendly Pool Room

There is a large Baptist church about 1/2 mile north of the site. Does that count? After church many of the members go to a Mexican restaurant next to the building after church.

Jay and Pete may have a point ... "no spitting on the sidewalk" and "no pool hall within 1000 feet of a church or school". I'll check the local ordinances this week.

    Family Friendly Pool Room

Two things memorable things that I've observed the past 4 years since taking up this sport are 1) A man and his son could not find a place to play because of of the sons age, and 2) I was in Fort Smith AR and came across "Family Cue" where there were teenagers, fathers with sons, and older...

    carpet tacks vs staples?

I walked away from a Centennial because tacks had ruined the wood right behind the feather strip at all pockets. Sometimes making them like they used too is not a good thing.

Proper Torque to Tighten Rail Bolts - Diamond Pro

Of the 4 engineers (mechanical and civil) I ran this question by with the parameters I posted, all agreed that the torque specs "would" depend on the "wood". It stands to reason then that there is no one torque value that would apply to all tables. A quick internet search found a website that...

Proper Torque to Tighten Rail Bolts - Diamond Pro

I am not a mechanic so anybody that takes this reply and goes off and tears up a brand new GCV or Diamond Pro-Am its your own fault. I work in a building with 500 engineers and this is what I got .... What you're really asking is what is the clamp load. The tension in a typical galvanized 9/16...

I'm no mechanic but I would look at this for $200. It's in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area. http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/fuo/2067239053.html Besides ... I do not like plywood bathtubs on stilts.

    Another Table ID please

This GCIV http://huntsville.craigslist.org/spo/1856725475.html would probably be a better deal if they are willing to negotiate. Its been around Craigslist for over a month now but dang it, a 9 is too big for my stance in my "billiards parlor" ... and I ain't changing my stance .
