HIGHEST RUN you've witnessed by a pro

This is what happened in his match with Yapp where he made all 99 balls to win 11-0. Yapp loses lag Rack 1: Chung pushes out, Yapp misses, Chung runs out Rack 2: Chung breaks and runs Rack 3: Chung breaks and runs Rack 4: Chung breaks and runs Rack 5: Chung plays weak safe, Yapp kicks...

HIGHEST RUN you've witnessed by a pro

Ko only broke and ran a 3-pack in that match against Yapp.

Bathroom breaks at the U.S. Open

I feel like whatever makes for the best production, Matchroom will figure it out. I’m sure the TV broadcasts were clean with actual commercials. DAZN shows the downtimes. I’ve heard hot mic logistics planning on DAZN with Matchroom before. But if it gets to the point it disappoints them in...

How did this become OK ?

When the people that own the table want you to do it so they can take a “Crown the King” picture for advertising, I think it’s okay.

    Top 5 pool players ever

I just feel you need to exclude a lot of very good, well known players to ensure the standard is actual greatness. In my opinion some players meekly knock on the door of the hall of fame and others (like Efren, Earl, Sigel, SVB, and Filler) kick the door off its hinges.

And I'm hilarious? I admire Jimmy Mataya. Best player to come out of my city. But what events has he won that were the strongest fields amongst the best peers of his time? At this point all he's really known for is having a great personality, marrying Ewa, shouting out to his mom while...

Stats -- Shane Van Boening vs. Fedor Gorst 10-Ball Race to 120, August 2024

I got the impression that table was abnormally bouncy. I suspect the break and run percentage would have been drastically higher if that wasn’t the case.

Could you post a long list of the score line after each game?

I felt like SVB held dominance for more decades, had a bigger impact on raising the level of play, changed the game more, and achieved more in other disciplines.

Honestly though. Look at Shaw’s list of titles. How many world championships? How many players have won more? How many US Opens? How many players won more? How many Matchroom Majors? How many players won more? Action matches? How many players won more? Honestly Albin and Darren are...

    Top 5 pool players ever

Here’s a fun list I came up with a couple years ago. I wasn’t trying to pick the top 5 of each era. I’m sure I flubbed a little for some of that. But I also wanted to illustrate the character of each era through its players and give at least a solid sampling. But more importantly, I was...

Jayson is funny. His Mosconi Cup appearances are absolutely epic and resonate in the public consciousness at a primal level. And yet I look at his resume of titles and honestly would say he hasn’t accomplished enough to justify a BCA Hall of Fame induction let alone entered GOAT conversations...

I hate the “of all time” concept. Because it’s obvious that there have been advancements in the sport. Putting new players on old equipment. Putting old players on new equipment. Knowledge about jumping, kicking, racking, breaking, etc. Are we saying literally the best with a cue no matter...

Was there a rule create for Efren's Z shot?

That article was shared in a non-billiards section of Reddit so you’re seeing responses from extra lay folks. In general the regular r/billiards is mostly a mirror of what you see in Pool is not Dead or here. The only difference I see is that here you have a lot of well informed zealotry and...

    Turning Stone

It it helps you can guess Turning Stone will be all strong amateurs, maybe Johnny Archer and Jayson Shaw (despite it being on the WPA calendar and not a Matchroom “treated as sanctioned event”). Meanwhile Texas Open will probably be full of all kinds of great pros potentially including Tyler...

    Diamond table poll!

My experience with Valleys is that they tend to play very similar to each other. Faster with fast cloth and sluggish with slow cloth. Usually the rails on one play exactly the same as rails on another barring some glaring mechanical issue like a dead rail not being addressed. But my...
