    Stance Fundamentals

Thanks Scott. the changes I'm making are improving my game a lot though. and you are right, at one point it's time to stop tweaking around. you mentioned grip: i was putting pressure with my first 2 fingers unknowingly during follow through. now i got it figured out stance and alignment: i...

    Stance Fundamentals

Fran, I just did a simple dominant-eye test (link: http://www.archeryweb.com/archery/eyedom.htm) and I found it to be the right eye !, except sometimes I saw double vision when focusing through that triangle. Although at times I'm able to focus on the object with the left eye, ultimately the...

    Stance Fundamentals

what about players like me, who can adapt to almost any position, who experimented different stances and grips etc, and they can't seem to find the one for them? this whole subject is very controversial. i would agree if you would say that stance and vision -head alignment comes naturally after...

    interesting stroke discovery

John i thought that too, but when you read Fran's post again, what it meant was, "you can call me Fran, not FranCrimi" it didn't mean to physically call on the phone :)

    interesting stroke discovery

ok Fran thanks. --------- thanks john. i'd speculate the unwanted pressure from my index finger could be the problem in my grip.. you're correct about thumb (and index) naturally hanging down to the floor, but looking precisely, standing up with arms straight down, the thumb is pointing down...

    interesting stroke discovery

Hi John, yes you are right. I'm not moving my thumb or applying any pressure. the friction of the cue against it causes the so called "callus" discussed above , depending on the way the thumb is. I was experimenting last week the grip of pointing the thumb completely down, thus the wrist is...

    interesting stroke discovery

jacoby its a good first step i think. --------------------- I found the proper name for the harder surface on the side of the thumb.. it's called a Callus.. i would get it on the side of my thumb playing tennis, or a few years back... while practicing hundreds of long straight back spin shots...

    how to smooth-out a shaft

ok got it thanks. i'm kinda new here so i don't know how to move a thread to another section if that's what you are suggesting. good thinking about the iron, i'd do that only if i'm shown exactly how.. otherwise i have a good chance of messing up
