I do bend my elbow but I still have tension in that arm.

Does anyone have thoughts on what is the optimal tension in their bridge arm? I think for me, when I have tension in that arm I struggle (I often don't realize until the night is over and I am at home). But at the same time, I want to be steady with bridge. Thoughts?

I predicted a little ways back that the next trend will be 4 piece jump cues. After reading this thread, I am thinking even more so it will happen.

Wouldn't a longer cue work better for sidearm jumping because it makes it easier to keep one's shooting hand above their head allowing the cue to strike the cue ball at a steeper angle? This is counter-intuitive to those who have only used the dart or underhand stroke where shorter cues are...

Yes...that is kind of exactly what I am curious about. Does the sidearm jump require a longer cue? In other words, not the typical 2 piece 40", but 48" or 52" with the 3rd piece added?

For those that have somewhat mastered the sidearm jump technique, has your preference of type or configuration of your jump stick changed? And if so, to what?

Yes, I never ever play drunk. But again, I can't seem to play without at least one or two in me (obviously, depends how long I am playing). As tim913 says, buzzed. I hardly drink at all outside of pool.

Guess I was hoping to find someone who has a similar issue but was somehow was able to overcome it and play well sober. Hopefully, I could learn from their experience.

Tried cleaning with alcohol earlier today. Unfortunately, it didn't help. Think I am going to go back to the Cue Cube.

When the abrasive insert that comes with the tool needs replacing, I can't ever seem to get one of the replacement abrasive inserts to stick to the tool. I know pretty unimportant, random question but still curious if anyone knows the solution to this.
