How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

Yea...that's what he said. Like I said I bought Simonis 860HR for a 7 ft Diamond table from Seyberts. As far as the 'how' details, I am uninformed. Yes, I will just get someone else to stretch it (company I had is not even in business anymore). I just wanted verify that there isn't something...

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

Thanks. Do you think him thinking the cloth I provided for him was too short might have caused him to do a bad job? I would like to know if I should buy cloth for an 8 ft table or reuse the existing 7 ft cloth?

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

Yep. Just went to another table and a way different result when running my hand back and force with a little pressure. My table cloth is definitely too loose...

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

If I do this, the cloth does move. It kind feels like if my palm was a boat and when I move it right or left, there very very tiny waves in the water. (If this makes any sense to anyone)

Thanks. Did you replace the cushions?

How do you tell if your table cloth has not been pulled tightly enough?

I find myself having the same cloth as other tables I play at but it always seems that these other tables play much faster. So I am wondering if the issue could be my table's cloth was not pulled tightly enough upon installation. Is there a simple way to tell if this is the case?

Curious as to why no one plays with/without an extension dependent on the shot.

What weight is you cue and extension?

Curious as to why no one plays with/without an extension dependent on the shot.

True. I guess this question is targeting a pretty small target audience.

Curious as to why no one plays with/without an extension dependent on the shot.

Just to clarify, I am discussing using an extension for purposes other than reaching a shot. For instance, using it because you believe it makes certain shots easier. Like a longer shot. (I think a couple of the responses in this thread are about using one to help reach a shot.)

Curious as to why no one plays with/without an extension dependent on the shot.

I just started trying to play with an extension added to my cue a week or so ago. I know the pros and cons of this have obviously been discussed before. The one consuming thought I do have is why doesn't anyone ever play with/without the extension dependent on the shot? Especially on bar...

If I am playing with an extension for purposes of added weight wouldn't make sense just to get a heavier cue?

What I find with using an extension is that somethings are improved while somethings are more difficult. I am actually taking the extension on and off depending on the shot. I am playing only on 7 foot bar tables I should add. I know...sounds goofy. I only started doing this a couple days...

If I am playing with an extension for purposes of added weight wouldn't make sense just to get a heavier cue?

Does this possibly equate to a straighter stroke? At least conceptionly?

If I am playing with an extension for purposes of added weight wouldn't make sense just to get a heavier cue?

I am using an 8 inch 3.35 oz extension to add some weight to my cue (from about 18.65 to 22.0), wouldn't it make sense just to get a heavier cue? (I don't really need the added length as at 5'9, a 58 inch cue seems fine to me length wise.)

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

Not sure if you are trying to be humorous , but if not, that would solve nothing more than this executing this specific drill.

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

The weirdest part of all of this is like I have said, I have done this drill over the years and never had a problem with it. And I am not just hitting slightly right english, but a decent amount. And not just sporadically but every time. And on different tables (in case you might think its an...

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

What is the best way to check if one's stroke is not going straight? I am trying to exaggerate my stroke past the spot and see where my tip lands but I am not seeing anything incorrect when I do this.

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

Boy, this is a tough one to fix. And if I do fix it, will I able to apply it beyond this drill when I have probably shot this way for the last few years???

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

So for a right handed player inadvertently hitting right english, would moving the head to the left a bit over the cuestick theoretically help?

Advice on how to stay down on the shot more consistently?

Thanks for all the suggestions. Great ideas, some of which I have tried. They all seem to work. Hard part is weeks/months down the line, when I forgot the good habits. I guess there is no permanent solution besides practicing the good habits now while conscious of them :).

Right english results on the oldest pool drill

Recently, I tried the old drill of putting the cue ball on the spot and hitting toward the middle diamond on the short rail drill to see if I am hitting center ball. I was surprised on how bad my results were. I have done this drill in years past (obviously, with much less experience as a...
