Tonight is the night, bad back or not, going to the pool hall, probably have to play 14/1 lol... Any tips on taking better photos than these when trying to get the full cue in??

Yeah, these phone cameras are getting better and better :) Hoping that by the weekend I can get some table time, just cannot wait to play with it. I already told the Petes that if the hit / playability suit me, then I will be starting another project :cool:

Thanks for all the nice comments, I am delighted with the way it came out. I will get some full cue pics when I get it to the pool hall. Can you believe I wait all this time for a cue and have my first back problems in about 10 years a few days before it arrives. So frustrating!!

Arrived this morning, sadly I won't be able to try for a while as my back is screwed. But the Petes knocked it out of the park, it's beautiful!

I had two 1980s Joss cues, N10 and N11, they both played quite nicely, sold one to a friend and he absolutely loves it. I just hate the crappy looking CNC points. I have never hit with an early 70s Joss cue, but I believe they are much more akin to a good custom cue. I have a sharp point TCOM...

It was held in Club 8 for years and years, but that place changed ownership. Last year it was in a different pool hall. I will speak to the guy who organises it and find out when we can expect the next one.

It's held in Deurne (a town in the south of the Netherlands) every year. I don't know if the dates switch much...

It's the biggest annual tournament in the Netherlands, you get Niels and Nick going every year and some of the other top pros from around Europe.

Being complementary on your opponents good shots, and being sympatetic when they **** up often works. People just seem to assume I am a sarcastic git, such a sad reflection on today's society.

It's nice to have a Scotsman right in the mix at the top of the tree, I really hope he makes the Mosconi team this year! Surely deserves a wildcard spot if he keeps playing like this (and doesn't qualify automatically)

Hey Jive, Not sure I get it, in the earlier pics the signature looks white, in the last one, it looks totally different. Is that dust around the signature in the earlier photos? Did the completed signature get finished over and that's why it looks different? The cue is beautiful BTW. Maybe...
