Never used a chandivert....are they comparable to a triangle....is it a real hard tip.....I like the action with a triangle..but not the tone..my APA team is going to las Vegas in August just trying to fine tune everything

What are the components of a cues tone when striking the cue ball? Is it the type of tip? Does a wrapless cue sound different than a cue with a leather wrap....I use a triangle which is a hard tip but the tone sounds dampened ....I have an ivory Jointed cue with birdseye maple...
