Which way do you play this shot part 2 (tribute)

Thin the 13-ball with inside, running the cueball down the length of the table, pcoketing the 8-ball on the same stroke. Claim you called both on the same shot and argue that this is a common house rule that pros play. Start a barroom brawl.

Any ideas on something that's been bugging me?

If you’re not miscuing, then it’s not the tip.

    AZB seniority thread in NPR

Several of us were already here when the site reset. There is an “old schooler” thread that asked pretty much the same question.

That really was my point about my post and Frey Sneaky Petes as it pertains to the original post. My experience with judging a Scruggs SP is my one time playing with a Frey SP.

Even though I am a shell of a player that I once was and never play competitive pool anymore, I walked into my old stomping grounds in San Diego County a couple years ago, and they were having a pool tournament. My buddy brought an extra cue with him, a Bob Frey that he won in an online raffle...

No big difference to each other or to any other Sneaky Pete? Frey made most of the Scruggs Sneaky Petes.

Love it! This is one of the greatest archers in the world. Pretty sure she can beat any of us with any bow and arrow, but guess what she uses when it’s time to dance with the world’s best?

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

As you can see, your layout asking if this is the path,... is not the path (assuming you laid your cue down to depict the path). The follow path (it’s not a force follow by anyone’s wet dream) enters the position zone at the base lf the position triangle, pretty well defined by the 3/5/6 set of...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

No. Check the original post. And your cueball looks too high (sharp angle).

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I literally have no idea what you’re talking about. You say that’s what you were doing, then you talk about crossing the funnel. The inside follow 2-railer is exactly not crossing the funnel but going right down the funnel. Here is is your video. Your 3rd shot is the inside 2-rail follow...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Looks like you are targeting the correct pocket now. I would rather that you use the OP’s layout for the reference of which pocket (the lower left pocket).

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Your goal is to play easy position on the 3-ball to the same lower left pocket as viewed and diagrammed in the original post. Whether you’re drawing at 4 o’clock or following at 10 o’clock, you’re still playing for the same pocket.

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Beautiful analysis, and I concur. Got to my diamond pin ball machine, and the inside 2-railer Option 3 was an absolute hanger. But I know my table. The spin off the two rails had my almost bunting the balls. The outside shot, I had some speed control issue but never didn’t have a shot. And...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

Because for some reason you’re playing to 3rd rail. Take a look at the OP’s diagram again. He’s playing a follow inside 2-railer for position to the same pocket (lower left as viewed from above the table), same as the draw 2-railer with outside. Both playing to the obvious same pocket. I...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

This will be slightly off point but: But the “fewest moving parts” principle is never the best direction in almost every athletic or physical endeavor. It never has been. It’s only a feel-good saying in pool, yet no top player subscribed to it. The better athletes are always the ones who can...

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

It feels like you’re shooting some different shot. I cant imagine even coming close to scratching on any of the 3 (or 4) patterns that we’ve been talking about. There is no scratch on the draw shot, and you’d really have to try to scratch on the 2-rail inside follow.

Question about cloth and the pro game.

But even when the cloth went to Simonis for pro tourneys, the tables were often still slower. See the 1989 Brunswick World Open on ESPN. You will hear Earl and Grady mention that the table is playing slow. In my area in western mass, very few pool halls had Simonis when I was going to college...

    Moving a Valley Bar Table

You can do this. Two people. Shockingly easy. edit: I mean … shockingly easier than one might think. 2 people can do it, especially if you have moving dollies, furniture movers, 2-wheel dollies, etc. a truck, a ramp. Freddie <~~~ have it all
