Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I need to just put my 2 cents. I personally am very comfortable with hitting inside on this shot. My choice for this patterns is low outside. Just want to put it out there in case there was false impression that posters who chose the outside route were somehow not comfortable with inside.

Which Way Do You Play This Shot?

I’m sure others like this path, but it’s not on my list. I’m going low right and staying in position without fading obstacles.

    Question for old timers@

I wrote this in my InsidePOOL article in 2004 after an onsite interview with Skip in Chicago. I would think it’s required reading for all tip makers by now !!! Alright, I’m kidding.

    Question for old timers@

You’re welcome. i wrote this article in 2004, really at the early stages of the multi-layer tip introduction. Since then, a hundred different makers have put out tips, and more study (from Outsville for example) in tip manufacture is available. I was thinking of doing an updated article, but...

    Guys who never sell cues

Because I buy cues. Part of being a good salesman is understanding the buyer’s market. That’s Marketing and Sales 101.

How good was Jimmy Mataya in his prime? Should he be in the HOF?

I like your passion. FYI - Jimmy Mataya has been on the ballot for many years. Because he was over 60, he was in the Veterans Category, which is how Kim Davenport got in. The HoF committee typically alternates voting on a Veteran Player and a Meritorious Service every other year. Every year...

Efren Reyes bizarre social media fans.....

I love Efren, but I really don’t like the newer fan revisionists. This whole “they didnt have a chance against The Magician” posts has a whole generation of fans not believing that Efren didnt make that many finals and that he came in 2nd more than the wins against the other Hall of Famers of...

    Hurricane

Part of our decision to evacuate was that my daughter gets married next weekend in Mass, and we had already planned to drive up and make a few stops. Had we stayed, the chances of getting gas and getting out decreased. So, evacuating became the obvious choice, even if my heart wanted me to...

    Hurricane

My wife and I once again had near zero issues. We did lose power, but we also evacuated up to Gainesville. No damage to the house except some fencing that we should have ripped down years ago. I have no intention of leaving Florida. Someone want to call me an idiot for moving down to...

For The Bar Players... What Your Dive Bar To play???

If you’re north county San Diego, then the Stage Coach Inn is the place to go. A very pool-centric dive bar if there ever was one.

TO ALL IN HELENE'S PATH .......BE SAFE

I’m in Clearwater. It’s 2pm on Thursday the 26th, and it’s all fairly quiet and dry. No tropical rain yet. The eye of Helene shifted to the west and is almost on our latitudes. It looks like she will shift east once she goes past Clearwater and make landfall in Tallahassee. Tonight, one of...
