39/64” drill bit for rail inserts

I've had good luck getting doing the holes with a plunge bit/router clamped to the rail. Flat bottom, exact size and no wobble. How do you drive in the inserts? I use a drill press, threaded rod, nuts and wrenches to get them in straight, but it's slow and a pain in the rear.

    Prototype Scorekeeping Box

For sure there's a need. The place I play at has a number of similar home made boxes the straight pool players use all the time. Your design is nicer. If I needed one (already made mine, I think I paid about $20+ship for the counters themselves) I'd pop for about $69, more for a nice...

What if we put an accelerometer inside the balls?

You'd also need 3-axis gyroscopes if you're concerned with spin. Tiny MEMS sensor packages containing both accelerometers and gyros are quite a bit smaller than a dime - about 5mm x 5mm. It could be a bit iffy to get Bluetooth to transmit through the cue ball material.

anyone know this person making new rails for brunswick tables?

Redshoes Billiards in Alsip IL (south Chicago) had their old Gold Crown rails replaced with Jerimy's about a year or two ago. You can try them there, they play REAL nice.

Ideas for my new basement pool room

Maybe obvious but something I'd overlooked - be nice to have wiring in place to control the table light from a wall switch and something solid to hang the light from.

    Cushion nose height changes?

I'm a hobbyist building some rails. I'm trying to find the correct subrail angle to get the cushion nose right at 1.437" with a 1.688" subrail height. After cutting a sample subrail and taping on a piece of cushion (Diamond black K55) 22.5 degrees works. However, I'm wondering if when the...

    SightRight Coaching Method

Assuming the cylinder must be laterally level to be useful I think it'd needs a way to show you when it is level. I'd add a tiny digital accelerometer that lights up an LED when it's level. Then get your body/head in the right place with the lines aligned while the light is on. Then you'd...

    DCC rails

I've got some Diamond black K55 cushions (purchased from Diamond a few years ago) that I'm getting ready to install on some rails. Curious that Diamond wasn't using their own cushions. Did they stop using them on their tables?

    DCC rails

I'm pretty sure Artemis Intercontinental #66 cushions are a K55 profile (not K66). Thought I'd mention this to avoid confusion (or maybe cause some).

    SightRight Coaching Method

Does the cylinder need to be exactly laterally level for this to work correctly? If your cue is twisted slightly clockwise/counter clockwise does that throw the alignment you see off?
