Do Pawnshops Know who Made the Cues?

Remember also that the pawn shop is not going to overpay for an item. If they pay good money for a cue, then it is probably a real item.

How much difference does a balance point make?

Most people say the balance point doesn't matter because you stroke the cue as a "whole". The difference I find is in the response of the shaft on any off center/english shots. I feel more shaft flex when the weight is farther back on the cue. JMHO.

    Looking for Gina

I have had several and they all hit good to me. But like any cue, it is a very personal opinion as to what hits good or not. Try to find someone with one and hit it for yourself if you can. As far as quality, there is none better.

What is your personal Cue Joint preference, and why

I have a fancy Runde with a 5/16 piloted joint. It had a stainless joint that I changed to a "Plastic or PVC" joint. I know it sounds crazy, but it removed all of the vibration and gives amazing feedback. I mainly did it to get the weight down, move the balance point back a little, and give a...

    House cues

The Lucky cues are probably the best cue for the price. Have you thought about keeping a few "better" cue behind the counter and renting them? Might be extra income.

    Opinions on this Meucci

I have played Meucci's for many years and liked them, (the older ones). I recently bought a Road Agent and was amazed when I took it out of the clear plastic bag when a bunch of sawdust came out also. The cue hit like Sh.t also. Good Luck.

Does shaft size change the worth of a custom cue?

It seems to me if you alter the size of the shaft, you are limiting the prospective buyer pool. Also, a collector would want the cue in original condition, if possible.

    Gold Crown Vs Diamond

I would think one more reason you see more Diamonds at tournaments is the set up time. I was told by a mechanic they are one piece slate. That means less time in set up because of filling joints and leveling. Makes sense to me!
