    Honduran Rosewood Burl cues

HRB....Some would argue one of the most beautiful cue woods in the world!

    Arthur Cues

You know they are located in Germany? A quick look at the pictures and it would be very difficult to identify any woods. The builder will be the best choice and all other attempts would merely be just a guess. (speculation) https://www.billard-dienst.de/

Wood in custom cues vs Production models.

That's why I'm with an accountant! I do the work...she counts the beans! I'm not a spread sheet type of guy but I did sleep at a holiday inn express one time! ;)

Wood in custom cues vs Production models.

Yea, once you bore out the nylon insert and plug it with a maple dowel, you can pretty much turn it into any pin joint you desire.

Wood in custom cues vs Production models.

The shafts are 5/16-18? with nylon? Bore the shafts. insert (glue) in a maple plug and you can make it any pin size you wish. Don't put 18tpi pins in the cues. That in my opinion is backward thinking.

It's part of my 201K so the plan is to sell all left over woods before I croak so I can enjoy all that $ ;)

If Jesus comes back as a road player?

I seen that dude, Man. He was out in front of the grocery store playing his tambourine. I sang with him, he didn't even know the words to the song! Oh wait, I think that was a different story about Santa Claus.

It's hard...and getting harder. That's the number one thing I'll tell anyone getting into the hobby or even just thinking about getting into the hobby. Buy as much wood as your storage and extra dollar budget will allow you to do. If you have no wood, you have no end product! You can never...

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

Tell me about it....Jim Kelly and his 4 in a row SB appearances ended my NFL gambling career! That's when I figured out the game was fixed o_Oand I won't put another dime on it. 😶‍🌫️

    Lord help me

It's all the same for me cored or not cored. I build every cue with a 12-12-5 = 29 Everything is assembled dry, cut on taper and left to hang oversized until I grab a few and finish them out.

Nice but.........at a hundred a whack for multiples it would be easier for me to just move the tail over.

If Chris doesn't have one, you'll have to make one.

Does everything need to be cored?

Yes and no...No and yes There are reasons to core and reasons not to core. Natural weight is one reason not to core, but might be a reason to core. It can all be so confusing at times. One thing I will say about coring....if a properly administered core is properly glued into the the host wood...

    Keilwood cutting

Isn't that the truth plus one! Have had this exact discussion several times over the course. You just don't know how the tree that any said given piece of wood comes from has grown during the course of it's growing life. Did it grow on the side of a hill? Did it grow with another tree leaning...

    Keilwood cutting

Ripleys believe it or not............I know a guy that experimented and turned that style of wood shaft down to finished size the day he received the very large oversized blanks. Last I know he was still playing with it and claims it's still straight as the day it came off the lathe. Now...this...

    Lord help me

You know it's not about being the best or even being better than anyone else. It really just boils down to being able to use your brain and figure things out. I never had turned on any type of metal lathe or milling machine or knew the first thing about G-code or CNC. These are all things I...

    Shaft with wood pin...????

Made many but don't do them much anymore. People don't wanna pay what they're worth for me to do them.
