    Fight or flight

I am just coming off 3 weeks without touching a cue (and I have a diamond in my living room). I think it will be a good thing. Hit a few balls last night and shot straighter than I have in a while...and it was fun! REcently, pool had started to feel like a chore. Guess I needed a few weeks to...

Is Predator's move into every aspect of pro billiards really a good thing?

I would love to make 2k per day.. Just sayin'

    Predator Las Vegas Mens Open

I appreciate what MR does, but, IMO this format is more likely to hook the casual viewers. I made my daughter watch the last set and the shootout and she actually got into it at the end. The only other thing I have ever gotten her to watch is the MC.

    RIP Justin Ramos aka 'justnum'......................

I will forever marvel at his pool cue made from cardboard. No really, he had a prototype.

    Shane vs. Fedor

I interpreted it as whether by one ball or 50 balls, SVB is more than likely winning any long 10 ball race. I think his record is pretty impressive.

Magic Rack and Joshua Filler's 7-pack

Doesn't matter run out the set or not. Watching a pro run essentially the same pattern for 3, 4, 5 sets is as boring as watching APA 3's play a race to 10. Professional 9 ball is almost as boring as watching 1 pocket down at the elks lodge.

    DerbyCity going to Nashville...???

Nashville is pretty much a Strait shot down I-65. Opryland hotel would be an amazing venue. Maybe with no casino oversight, the "action" aspect of Derby City would return...

    Glove

This. I bought 2 -10 packs about three years ago and I think I still have between 5-10 left! They do come unsewn along the sides of a finger every now and then, but not a big deal to me.

Are they still offering the 50% off promo?

Are you going to subscribe to WNTtv-dot-com?

I don't want to have to have it running on my phone or a tablet and beam it to my TV. I want to click an icon on my tv, just like I click on the espn app, or the hulu app, and have it play. Should be easy, right?

Are you going to subscribe to WNTtv-dot-com?

Have they indicated whether or not there will be an app for firestick/smart tv's? I personally despise having to screen share/cast with my phone. And does this mean no more Sky sports?

    Iron City split bracket...$$$$!!!!!!!

I used to live in Birmingham. There is a pretty big gambling culture around there...much more than I have noticed around here in Nashville. Seems when the greyhound track shut down, folks had an itch to scratch....Heck I had a group friends that would run weekly squares on the area high school...

SJM Sizes Up 2024 in Pro Pool

I haven't watched many of the Americans outside of those two, as they are often on the TV tables at the big tournaments. It seems as though styer is just missing "something" that is keeping him out of the money. I am not sure if shane wolford's game is continuing it's upward trajectory, as I...

SJM Sizes Up 2024 in Pro Pool

So if you were put on the spot, when is the next major won by an American, and by whom? Seems like the last 8 or so years, I have been hoping "this is the year Sky breaks through the glass ceiling." But now I wonder if it might be a different American. Oscar said he is done chasing MC points...

    Cheapest way to ship chalk?

I put a quick and dirty .stl on thingiverse that took me a few minutes to make in solidworks. Was only downloaded a couple of times in a year. Ended up deleting it, but the one or two prototypes I gave out have at least been holding up. Hope you have fun with it and make some $$ in the process!

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Your scenario CAN happen, but it is not the norm, especially today. Used to be, all American Olympic athletes were amateur athletes, which meant other than a residency at the Olympic training center in Colorado Springs, they were likely collegiate athletes. Now? Let's look at the most popular...

Pool in Europe vs USA: 7-foot vs 9-foot tables

Very interesting thread! I think a big factor in getting those players to "elite" level is the ability to make a guaranteed, consistent living at their craft. Having to work 40 hours a week and then put in the practice required to get to 800 is a big ask for that regional pro...

Pool's latest growth in popularity is due to...?

I totally get what you are saying, and agree for the most part, it's all coming down to video game reflexes. And true, that There are a lot of guys doing it. But one thing hasn't changed in all these years...only one guy can be the best.
