Well there's no escaping the interwebz. I think there was something wrong with those tables. Toward the end of the night, I noticed the balls wouldn't sit still long enough for me to shoot them in the hole. Must have been cyclops balls :thumbup: That other guy seemed to know the secret though...

I'll be around through March at least. I'm staying in Camp Springs, but I don't mind driving all over the city for good pool. I'm trying fit SBE into the schedule, but work comes first.

Well, I don't know about special occasion, but I'll be at First Break tonight :thumbup:

Quick update for any other out of towners that might want to check out the seen. I've been in the DC area for about a little over a month now, and I've been to most of the rooms in this thread. Tournaments are in short supply but the best I've seen are Thursday nights at First Break and...

Felt has weekly tournaments Sunday afternoons and Tuesday nights. Most of the guys will be there.

I'm interested in this as well. I'll be in Alexandria for the next 4 months. Where are the tournaments? Where's the action room? First Break looks like it's a good hour away...I don't mind driving but is there anything closer?

I didn't pretend to be a member. I went in. The guy at the door said I had to be a member. I asked how to become a member. He said I had to pay a fee of $XX and there was a waiting period of XX days. I asked if there was any other way to get in. He said I could be sponsored in by an existing...

Really?? All you have to do is walk up to the nearest table and ask whoever is playing to sponsor you in... Done deal. Was this thread necessary??
