Refinish an old Palmer or leave it alone?

My gut tells me to leave it alone. The forearm had a really thin possibly oil finish. The butt sleeve is perfect because it is plastic. Part of me thinks it should be left alone as it tells a story, though the other half of me thinks the forearm should look as good as the buttsleeve.

Super old post, but that cue is a helmstetter.

    Paper micarta vs linen micarta

Sorry for the bad pic, I’m not near the cue, but what type of micarta is this? I’ve seen this micarta on other Schon shafts in the past, though only on a few cues. I’ve also had “regular” micarta ferrules Schon shafts.

    Restore an MO-3...or No?

I say no. The cue has earned each and every mark on it.

They also had a half threaded 5/16x14 pin with a wood pilot on the shaft. Dufferin is on the left.

    Pre 93 Schon ID

I’m pretty sure it is an SL4 with “upgraded” C and D rings.

    Pre 93 Schon ID

I’m pretty good at figuring these out, but I can’t find one in the old catalogs that match this. The trim rings are the same as Bushwacker’s old Schon. One ferrule is micarta, one is ivory. Maple and rosewood.

    Falcon shaft

spectacular shaft wood on those old things. I kept the shaft and sold the butt of the last old Falcon I had. I had a local builder match the shaft to my playing cue. Very old school solid hit. Good luck on your hunt.

Predator BK2, Fellini case, Palmer x2, McDermott, a Viking and an Unknown for trade

My apologies for the delay on the pic. I’m a single dad and I’ve been busy with my sixth grade son. The only thing I would sell solo would be the BK2 for $275 shipped in the continental US.

Predator BK2, Fellini case, Palmer x2, McDermott, a Viking and an Unknown for trade

Going through my closet, I realize I have way too much stuff. I'm ultimately looking to downsize my toys, though it is kinda hard to know what to get rid of. I was curious what some trade offers would be for all of the items together. I'll post photos later today. Very clean Predator BK2...

Help identifying an old Mali cue

https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=453741 Looks like a T-13. I had a T-15 that played quite well. Hopefully the thoughts of your grandpa will allow you to enjoy the cue.

Cue Id and Madden Cue Worth?

I went back over my records and his name is Joe McGlaughlin out of Everett, WA. My cue was from the early 90’s. I had the same stainless buttcap and the stainless “buttplug” joint protectors. The forearm I believe is Prather made. Great hitting cue. I think I sold mine for $400 give or take.

Cue Id and Madden Cue Worth?

The second cue is not a Madden but a John McGuffy if I recall. I had one, same buttcap and same signature on the forearm. Let me check my records. He was out of Washington if I recall.
