    Best cue under $1000

If you're looking at production cues, there are tons of options. In terms of customs in that range: Diveney sneaky pete. You could also get one of Pat's Trans-K shafts rather than the Hsunami 2.0, but either will serve you well. You could also get a low-end Barnhart for under 1k. I think he...

I have some, but my pieces are 12-15”. 24” seems like it would be pretty tough to come by.

Older players... what do you do?

Gotta be careful training BJJ as an older gentleman, though. I have a chronic shoulder injury from BJJ that actually makes playing pool much harder. But I think I can see what you mean about that sort of thing for the mental side of pool. Now yoga, that I fully endorse for pool and just life in...

Does a "compression fit" do anything?

I also play with a Tasc sometimes, and I love the compression fit for the reasons listed above. I get a workout...

    Pierce torrified.

There’s Hsunami, but those will be among the most expensive of the baked maple shafts. I know Bill Lister is making his own as well and I’d assume them to be considerably cheaper. I’ve never tried Diveney’s, but based on the general playability of his cues I assume they’re tremendous.

Three 3 Best Cue Makers in the World

I haven’t played with everything, but of the cues I’ve been able to try/own, I’ll say Ed Prewitt Pete Tascarella Richard Harris (Bluegrass) Those are my three favorites, and all very different in terms of aesthetic and hit. Bluegrass and Tascarella are both quite stiff, while Prewitt's hit is...
