They had so many entries for the Womens and Seniors Events that they expanded them, therefore cutting down the Amateur Open. Technically they haven't cut the total number of players down they have just spread them out more between the divisions.

European championships... With the european championships running at the same time some of the big name players like Ralf Souquet, Niels Feijen etc won't be making the trip.......But there are still alot of great players like Mika,SVB, Thorsten,Rodney, Johnny etc that have confirmed.

Not sure who you are talking about.... The one name that stands out for me in the list is Larry Price but i'm not sure how you establish if someone is pro or amateur I think Larry won the amateur event last year, also their are a couple other recognizable names like Shawn Wilkie etc..... I know...
