Best one hour practice I have had in my 5.5 year career

I go to a sports bar 10 minutes from my house once or twice a week for happy hour prices. It’s 6 bucks a hour, and I tip two dollars, so 8 dollars a hour. im the first person there when the bar opens, so I get the same 7 foot diamond table. The cloth is pretty worn out, but I don’t mind. I put...

why do pros aim so low on the cue ball at cue ball address???

a reply said its to stabilize the cue ball. I'm feeling like that's it for me. on my stop shots now, I'm using a very low tip position on the cue ball, very very low, and it Does seem to settle the cue ball down. getting a great stop shot now. working well for me

replaced two cue tips today-85 bucks.

its the one of the things I love about pool. its doesn't cost me any money during the year. its free to play and practice on my two bar tables. I have my own predator blak-1 cue, predator break cue, and nice balls. have a ball cleaning machine, and kraom chalk. so I spend nothing. I looked into...

replaced two cue tips today-85 bucks.

replaced my playing cue with a kamui soft tip today, replacing my old tip that chipped. old Tip lasted about 6 months. and I retipped my break cue, which is about 3 years old, first time with a new break tip. total cost was 85 dollars. better for me that buying a new cue.

why do pros aim so low on the cue ball at cue ball address???

I have noticed that most pros will start their shot process with the cue tip very very low on the cue ball. almost Hitting the felt. are they doing this to find center cue ball, or are they starting out that low and moving up a tip or so at cue delivery???? I have been messing around with this...

I’m sorry, but I’m not waving if i slop in a ball in a 9 ball game

I wouldn’t say is unsportsmanlike to not wave for a slop shot. But i would say it’s a fake wave, as the shooter get to keep shooting. I dont give fake waves. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I’m sorry, but I’m not waving if i slop in a ball in a 9 ball game

Scared. 9 foot tables scare me, as I’m a 7 footer player. But the pool hall right by my house has a 9 ball tournament on wednesdays, almost ready to give it a go.

I’m sorry, but I’m not waving if i slop in a ball in a 9 ball game

We see it all the time watching the pro tournaments. Someone will slop a ball in a pocket, not meaning to, and they wave at their opponent like to say I’m sorry. Not me. Also on the break when the 9 ball goes in. I read a post on here a while ago, where a player said he had two speeds at the...

Bought a second pool table for outside- panther valley for 1700

It’s under a covered patio. I plan on using two covers for the table. One a short cover, to cover the top, and ordered a longer cover that will cover the whole table.

Bought a second pool table for outside- panther valley for 1700

I know it seems a little silly to buy and have a second table. But at 66, shooting and practicing pool is a great enjoyment for me. I have a diamond 7 foot table inside, and now the valley. Wanted a valley as all the bars around me use them. Price was 1700, moved and delivered to my house. I had...

    How to handle aging eyesight

66, and i use Shane’s edge of shaft to aim. Sometimes when tired or first thing in the morning, when i look down the cue shaft, i see two cue tips. Lolllllll. Makes it hard to aim. Getting old sucks.

Just ran into a older pro: TANG HOA today

Went to my senior center to play for a while, normally empty when I’m there. Surprised to see two guys on the middle diamond table. We said hello, and i started doing my thing on the side table. I could hear them talking, but i really didnt watch them play, as i was doing my own thing. As i was...

Lifting heavy weights and shooting good pool do not go together

This is exactly my point. Pro pool is for players like Neil’s, filler, hunter, Corey, ruis, ect. I’m sure they are all in impeccable shape, and they all look great. But they all follow the same format- tall, slender, great flexibility, they all look the same, weight 150 pounds. Musclebound is...

Lifting heavy weights and shooting good pool do not go together

I really thought i could become a really good pool player. But unfortunately, do to my lifting for 40 years, and still lifting, its not in the cards for me. But thats ok, as i still have fun. I did not want to make this post into a weightlifting post. That wasn’t my intent. But it seems like it...

Lifting heavy weights and shooting good pool do not go together

Yes on joe Rogan, but hes a little fella, probably 5 foot 6 inches, and 160 pounds. I’m 5-11 and 265 pounds. And yes i firmly believe that lifting heavy weights is the key to longevity. Not talking powerlifting numbers, did all that in my 30 til age 40. I’m just talking about moving weights as...
