Another question for the English gurus.

I stated in posts 80, 90 and 94 that I'd let the video speak for itself but of course you continued to spout off. I withheld my evaluation still, until one of your patented re-explanations in post 105 in which you included this: " I agree with Sparkle that the video if actually watched with...

Yes, about what I expected also. Not a complete banger but I did expect a little more polish. Unfortunately there's no way to discuss, debate or argue with the guy due to the DK. Nothing you can do, the pool world's filled with people who fit Danny D's profile.

We don't now and pretty much never have agreed about anything. I was going to be nice and leave it alone but you just continue to misrepresent the facts. Let's start with the production of the video itself. I probably shouldn't criticize because I don't have a clue how to make a video or how...

Well, seems most are agreed the shot is a hanger off which the CB can sent virtually anyplace on the table with minimal effort.

Right you are but it's a lot easier to rope in the gullible if you preface your remarks with secret or pro techniques.

I understand your reluctance. Didn't go very well last time you opened the can.

Apparently you've never heard the phrase... Quantity isn't necessarily quality. Yes or no. Would you like me to give my thoughts on your video? Open the can or not, up to you.

Another question for the English gurus.

When applying the DK effect towards your relationship with pool it's meant as a description of your perception of your range of knowledge and skills both. Your perception appears to be you possess great skill and knowledge. You offer the video as proof. I perceive it in a much different way...

Seeing as how the flavor of the day is cut and paste, all I can say is: Dunning Kruger

What, exactly, is it that you're right about? Again, I'm perfectly happy to let the video speak for itself.

I thought you guys beat this subject to death in the "Why did Jose hit the 9 this way" thread. PJ, you know double o's MO as well or better than I do so you know he'll never admit he's wrong. It's sad really, but Dunning Kruger has him in it's grip and he'll likely never escape. Poor guy, wish...

It's safe to say that the majority of people viewing this exchange know what's meant by routine 3 rails around the table. I may have further comments as time permits but am happy at the moment to let the video stand for itself

Another question for the English gurus.

Everyone sees what they want to see based on their knowledge and experience. I see something completely different in that video. As to your contention ie the trickshot invented by you, now with the second video we can see it's just a routine 3 rail shot around the table off a ball hanging...

Hopefully you won't get all upset and indignant over my reply. You may want to consider starting a new thread on the Ask The Instructor forum. Put the video up and ask for the instructors to critique and maybe offer some suggestions as to how you can incorporate some pro techniques and...

    3 Foul Rule Etiquette

All the local rotation tournaments in my area enforce it as informing as the player on 2 approaches the table. May be different in other areas. I do know for a fact that's the way it's interpreted at the American 14.1 championship.

    3 Foul Rule Etiquette

Perhaps Bob knows when or if the rule did or did not change at some point. I've been playing straight pool since 1963 and as I remember it's always been you must declare it as your opponent approaches the table

    Final Stroke Analysis

While the poster mentions contact point a few times the post is about stroke not aiming. As to your observations about aiming I think at some point you'll have to abandon the ghost ball. Ask any 10 good players at random if they use GB. I'm not talking about APA 6 or7's but over 600...
