Not to complicate the conversation, but have you thought about splitting the difference and going with an 8 footer? I play on a 100 year old 8ft table and love it. Not much adjusting to go to a 7ft or a 9ft for tournaments or leagues. I can play all of the games you can play on a 9ft without any...
