    BHE vs FHE

So you want the last word, but also want me to reiterate where you were wrong, so you don't have the last word? I see your confusion there between two impulses, but the question stands, would you post videos with me?

But your comments are self-refuting. You wrote: "Not really a good example double o. The margin of error is so large you can hit this all kinds of ways and get there." Meaning you think it's easy to shoot with BHE, so it is a good example. I've never claimed BHE disobeys physics and yields...

To get where? To the end of the diagram where the ball has gone around the table with much right-hand english? Would you mind diagramming the ways or posting a video to demonstrate your knowledge here?

    BHE vs FHE

My objective was different, as described above. Unsupported claims were made that certain strokes were impossible so I begin with a basic dash of english. In the same way I have students shoot progressive drills, to learn small amounts of draw or topspin before progressing on.

As I wrote, I'm happy to have given you the last word on this thread, but we can use other media, too. Let's select some english position plays with varying degrees of difficulty, then we post two videos, you shooting them with FHE, I will shoot them with both FHE and BHE. I know the limits...

I'm familiar with TOI, thanks for the details. I've noticed almost every pool teacher and book advising that english isn't for beginners because it's unwieldly over a distance. I think BHE offers some help with that, an obvious tradeoff is learning the new technique. Tom Kennedy almost always...

I don't know what the "twist of something" sales pitch is, although I'm curious. It's a tiny supination or pronation (or any other movement of choice) to add 1.65 mm of english off the vertical axis. I sometimes theorize out loud on AZ but with students, I use geometry, anatomy and physics...

    BHE vs FHE

It does. Two shooters can strike a cue ball with two different cue ball paths, both of which can pocket a ball, where you claimed (with no OB in the diagram!) I'd miss and you'd make the ball. That's presumptuous, there could be a pocket hanger two inches off the CB. Unfortunately, many people...

    BHE vs FHE

So when you wrote, "Please name a pro you teach, so we can watch and learn," you were lying, and weren't seeking to learn anything. That's a shame.

    BHE vs FHE

You are correct, but only in context, since we're aligned on different aim targets also, while still both scoring the shot. For a comparable example, I can have two balls with their lines-of-center on a corner pocket line. I can hit a dead straight stop shot, or if there's a third, interfering...

Great, and I bet you'd also agree, the adjustment is less than the old "pivot and pray" english that some are such fans of, they won't listen to any alternative radio stations.

You are right, but I also understand PJ's point, however, he's not stopping to consider the two players use two different targets on the OB. Simple.

    BHE vs FHE

Thank you for the details. Both strokes are taken to the same spot of the cue ball for english, both strokes push the cue ball in different directions to start, meaning one is less adjustment from the aim target than the other.

    BHE vs FHE

You are partially correct. If I gave a friend a great lesson, and he refused to tell people I'm a good teacher, I'd think he wasn't really my friend. On the other hand, if you are suggesting that Tom Kennedy would embellish truth, and say I'm a good teacher when I'm not, you are likely unaware...

I'm always open to facts if you want to share them. I'm like you, I can never really respond to "it doesn't add up", since that has no actual meaning.

The doctor was wrong, popcorn is low calorie, high fiber. Just avoid the soybean oil they call butter at the theatre, you'll be fine. Ha!

    BHE vs FHE

I agree, different outcomes. But your second statement was not correct. Here's the diagram again, the cue ball viewed from above, the base of the ball resting on the cloth at A and A-B is the shot line through center CB from the player's perspective: "A tip moving parallel to the C-E line...

I hear you loud and clear. I offer the pre-supinated wrist so that one may test the stroke and reduce variables in testing.

    BHE vs FHE

I agree with you fully. One angle+spot+speed = one and only one specific outcome. Absolutely correct. This is what you've missed. The BHE specific outcome is different than the classic english specific outcome, because two angles of approaches are employed, a diagonally turned cue stroked...

I would say those who've done it for minutes, when properly taught, but YES, you are right. If sheer knowledge or logic or etc. made people run racks, we'd have more pros on AZ as members. Yes.
