Look at what I get to come home to

That's a good one. I'm getting out of the army though, and I definitely would not take such a nice cue to Iraq with me, that's what the old McD is for.

Look at what I get to come home to

Yeah it was kind of a toss up. My current player has a leather wrap, and I really like it, but my dad has a similar cue with irish linen and I've found I like it a little better, so I decided to go with that on my new one.

Look at what I get to come home to

I posted these pics in the cue gallery, but I figured I'd put this on the main forum too. At the beginning of my deployment I decided that I was going to treat myself to a brand new pool cue. Originally I looked at production cues, but then I decided to get something special made. I decided...

    My new Doug Patrick

Doug just recently finished my new cue. Unfortunately I won't be home fo a few weeks yet, but it will be waiting for me when I get home :). I'll probably have to go straight to the table and run a rack or two ;).

    First lesson with Scott Lee

Maybe you should act like it then, Dr. Driz, but I guess when you're performing brain surgery all day or designing the replacement to the space shuttle, it's okay to badmouth someone else's occuation on an internet forum. Okay I guess I shouldn't have encouraged him, but oh well.

    First lesson with Scott Lee

Personally, I would only take advice from somebody who passed the eighth grade.

Yeah you definitely get good at shooting shots firm so they don't roll off, lol. Legend is just a name I picked up in my hometown bar, and not because of my pool playing ability, lol.... Maybe I should save that for another thread ha ha.

    Kind of a newbie

Thanks Scott. Luckily though, I have pretty much spent this whole deployment inside the wire. I think I've gone outside the wire like 5 times this whole year, and won't be anymore. Last time I was outside the wire every day, so I know all about IEDs.

    Kind of a newbie

Well when I was here in 06-07 I used to do convoy escorts, so I got to visit a lot of bases, and I found some places would have complete junk that weren't even worth playing on, and others were decent. I actually came across one pretty nice gold crown at one base. The MWR building here has...

    Kind of a newbie

Hello everyone. I've been a member here for awhile, and I've made a few posts, but I never really introduced myself. I'm from Wisconsin, but I'm currently deployed to Iraq. It's my third time here. I get to come home in less than a month now, which is awesome, and then I will be out of the...

funniest thing ever saw during a pool match

One of my teammates was breaking, and on his final stroke he completely missed the cue ball and his cue went up and hit the lights on his follow through. There was no fould though since he never actually touched the cue ball, and he ended up breaking and running out.

IMO the IPT was right on 8-ball.

Actually no, BIH rules favor the better player. It makes it so you actually have to worry about scratching even if your opponents balls are behind the head string. A scratch is a FOUL. In every sport, if you commit a foul you are punished for it. If you are shooting the ball before the...

IMO the IPT was right on 8-ball.

Actually Joe and Bob would watch the match and see that the players don't put the cue ball in the "kitchen" after a scratch and find that dumb.... I mean why would you penalize a person for committing a foul by giving the other guy ball in hand that's just stupid. Then they would find that...
