    This Forum and Equations

Its not impossible to answer. The answer is infinite with no cloth and perfectly round balls and perfectly flat table. With cloth the solution can be solved with an upper and lower bound (meaning the real solution is in between a range, but the exact solution is unknown) and over time the...

Is there such a thing as natural talent? Some say yes, I do not think there is?

Ok, that is a lot more primative than I expected. I guess i come from a more modern time...not being an EE probably doesn't help either. So it basically was a bunch of flip flops that were wired to each other through a 1 bit adder for the first bit and carry logic for the remaining bits which...

Is there such a thing as natural talent? Some say yes, I do not think there is?

How did you m How did you make your calculator? I assume there was no CPU in it. So you used TTL logic? I can think of two ways off the top of my head: 1. Registers and TTL logic: numbers to add/subtract are capped at 4 bits (<= 9 or whatever your keypad went up to), accumulator register...

Is there such a thing as natural talent? Some say yes, I do not think there is?

How are you going to become a world class golfer if you don't have the muscle strength potential and hand eye coordination to hit drives 330+ yards consistently and with control? There are 4 types of athletes: 1. Those with 'natural talent' that practice hard. 2. Those with 'natural talent'...

Just got kicked out from tourney

This is true on a 9 foot table but on a Valley bar box with new cloth it has been done....Someone posted a video on Reddit Billiards of a fargo 560 running a 4 pack w/ pattern racking, magic rack and 1 on spot.

    This Forum and Equations

This finds how many balls positions are possible if you pick 10 of them but using 'permutation' takes the order they are chosen into account, which I think is not proper. Also, I think you then need to multiply this result by 10! because you are performing an additional permutation when you...

    Yea its definitely a drawback.

Carbon Fiber Shaft & Touch Of Inside Aiming

Well, you might use the same alignment, but you are using an amount of sidespin and speed that might not be optimal because you are forcing the aim point to work, hence where I say you are losing linear independence.

Carbon Fiber Shaft & Touch Of Inside Aiming

Actually its not the same. With TOI you are mainly just aiming a straight shot or a half ball hit then hitting firm and deflecting the ball with a parallel shift to pocket the ball. I do agree however that you dont get any increase in accuracy it just seems easier to aim some (inside...

Carbon Fiber Shaft & Touch Of Inside Aiming

I use it on some (rare) shots with a Z3 LD shaft so it should work fine with LD CF.

Just got kicked out from tourney

I'm in the same situation as far as robbing the B players with ease (most of the time anyways) but against the true A players I lose. I haven't been banned from the B tournaments though. But they did put that rule in to restrict my break...

Just got kicked out from tourney

Probably around 50% with the racks I receive there depending upon the player because some rack better than others. The thing is I never ask for a re-rack, even if the rack is total garbage. Asking for re-racks with some of these players just causes major trouble... If I am playing a really...

Table Difficulty Factor (TDF) for measuring table "toughness"

I have 3 tables to report: (1) Gandy Miss America 8.5', 4.25" corners, 0.5" mouth to throat, 0.75" shelf. Comes out to TDF=0.99 The rubber was worn out and inconsistent on this table. (2) Custom Made 8.5', 4.25" corners, 0.75" mouth to throat, 1.0" shelf. Comes out to TDF=1.04, New...

    Ten Foot Long Snooker Cues

Looking for insight on stance, 6 foot 8 pool player

I think it has already been mentioned but you should also try to make your back foot parallel to the cue/shot line. Ideally both feet will be parallel to the shot line. The way you have it now your back foot is twisted. I think the twisting is causing your back leg to not take the load of...
