Except for the straight up pros, pool has always been handicapped. Fargo just does it better.

I’m curious as to what handicap system puts you out of contention. Every system or tournament I’ve seen, still leaves the better players with a significant edge.

This thread started out hypothetical, now people want to make it personal. What someone thinks about it doesn’t really matter, unless you’re the TD or you play in it.

Since the tournament is handicapped, it doesn’t need to be capped. I wouldn’t even consider banning this player. Find a way to make it work.

Yes, this. In the USA, children don't play pool. There are zero elite players, that did not play, as a child. It's that simple.
