Nice little Wei table tip. Any others?

I really like this guys site. http://www.omniscium.com/pbsa/AddShot.asp Uses the weitable and hooks in a database to save shots. I have been trying to figure out how to create a standalone (non-web) version that would include the database. It is much faster than finding the "string" in a...

    John Madden & Fred Agnir

Ditto on subscription problems. Get on the phone. Email didn't work for me. It took forever to get it started and I didn't get my first issue after they said I should have. They sent a replacement out and I got the second issue without a problem. Good magazine, serious organizational...

    adhesive recommendation

All I am making up some cue holders for my local hall. I need to glue some 1" polyproyylene or polyethylene rod into Red Oak. Any idea of what adhesive to use? The rod sections will be bored to create a protective bushing for the cues that go into the holder. I wasn't sure whether polypro or...

Someone was just taking about that book last night. It is by Ray Martin, not Capelle. Is it a good book? Thanks Tim

    BCA 8 ball scoring spreadsheet

All Does anyone know of a Excel spreadsheet for scoring by BCA 8 ball rules? Calculate handicaps and running averages? That type of thing. We are playing 3 person teams, 6 teams total (not BCA sanctioned this summer, not enough teams and players), 6 matches per night. Thought I'd ask...

    Hey Everyone Good News!!!

And how, as a novice player, do I know that you are any better??? You invalidate yourself with your own post. Hadn't heard they had changed the name from AZbilliards.com to "godsofpool.com". Between here and the cue makers forum, it is getting a little tired. So much vitriol, so little...

    practice aim

I suspect I am much more of a novice than those that have posted on this thread. I have recently been taking monthly lessons with a pro and the first thing I told him I wanted to work on was my aim. Turns out I was getting ahead of myself. I could not get consistent results on straight in...

Anyone know what is going on with Ron De Rueda?

He was on staff at Quentin Corner Pockets for a short while. I don't know if he was a manager or what. He was there most days that I stopped by. I thought things were working out for him there. Guess not. Tim

    Cue Lathes

The pics attached fine. Thanks. Where did you track down the delrin (?) rollers for the steady rest. Looks like it does the job. Also is that the stock 3" chuck? For tips and ferrules, this looks like it might be a good way to go. Thanks again. Tim

    Cue Lathes

Tracy, I started reading your site before your last post. I has a ton of info on it. Great site. I was looking for info on boring the spindle there but could not find it. I will go back and look again. Thanks Tim

Anyone know what is going on with Ron De Rueda?

Thanks for the email. I sent him a note. I am pretty new to all of this and he was always really helpful and knew a boat load about cues. He did some work on one of my cues and I was really happy with the results. I don't know much of anything about his history other than that he had a bit...

    Cue Lathes

I have seen several mobile setups for tip and ferrule work using a Central Machinery lathe. These are pretty cheap through Harbor Freight, not sure what size they were using. I think it was a 7x11. Wish I photographed them. The lathe had to be modified to allow somehow to allow the shaft to...

    Stolen Cues

Sarah Did they just get your cues or did they get a bunch? Was the room supposed to be secured? If so maybe you have some recourse with the folks that put on the tournament. Good luck.
